Who says crime doesn't pay? Lost a fair chunk on Globo and very disappointing to see these scumbags getting away with their crimes. An important lesson for investors to protect themselves rather than relying on the authorities. I hope Costis doesn't suffer any misfortune in the future.

The ex wind surfer turned tech sector CEO got away with industrial scale fraud - staggering, when considering the £100m+ he and the auditors claimed the company had on deposit in a number of blue chip banks, collectively turned out to be nothing more than loose change, barely able to cover the cost of one of the FCA's pheasant and port lunches!

FCA - "Fundamentally Complicit Authority" as they are usually referred to in Private Eye.

They are well known as jobs for the boys who are not smart enough to be appointed to a senior position in any law.accountancy/major listed company.

They also pay peanuts so get the monkeys they deserve.

Six years on and the FCA are finally taking some action. And that after the CEO practically admitted his guilt in a 2015 board meeting:

"However, at the Board meeting, Costis Papadimitrakopoulos the CEO of the Group brought to the attention of the Board certain matters regarding the falsification of data and the misrepresentation of the Company's financial situation, and offered his resignation, as did Dimitris Gryparis the CFO of the Group".

The FCA really are useless.

Yes, its unbelievable that the culprits haven't been brought to justice. Its not as if they have escaped to outside of the EU!

Yes, Costis needs to be held to account. He was a deceptive fraudster and deserves to be in prison for 10 years. Why don’t the authorities act?
