“To attract foreign investment in domestic gas opportunities, the Ministry of Mines and Hydrocarbons is in the process of implementing a series of measures to strengthen the business climate for oil and gas companies. Various fiscal amendments are poised to come into force this year, including a reduction of Corporate Income Tax from 35% to 25% – translating into a reduction of 10 points – and the reduction of Dividend Tax from 25% to 10% – a reduction of 15 points. AEW 2024 will showcase upcoming opportunities and competitive investment terms, connecting investors to Equatorial Guinean projects.

Speaking during the 2023 edition of AEW, Minister Ondo said that “We are open for business, we are open to host new investors and we are inviting you to be very pragmatic when you approach Equatorial Guinea,” and ease of doing business in the country has already led to several developments being made.”

Oil trading at highest level since November last year. Helpful, however we need to land a farmout of Inishkea or EQ for a huge re rate. Can’t see the downside at this price

they are trying to get the word out, imo

We’re attending this year’s BEOS 📢

Come and meet the team at Booth 43, and, on Wed, 27 March at 9.30 a.m., make sure to catch our Chief Geologist’s presentation on infrastructure-led gas exploration in 🇮🇪 and 🇬🇶 for insight into these two significant opportunities for #EOG.

So it's all starting to look like agreement and the right noises are being made, so when is a farm out being announced, I take it that's what's holding proceedings(drilling) up?!!

Ireland is one of the most energy import dependent countries in the EU, with approximately 75% of the gas it consumes imported from the UK. #EOG"

little Willie (fav. song "if i were a rich man"), was so needing some good news out there, that he publishes his buy on the same day it was made!! Still think his options should have started with a 3, as he destroyed the share price from that figure by his incompetence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you could be optimistic and think there is no price sensitive news as of today, but one of the JV candidates could come to a positive decision any day

Hi grannyboy. On 15th Jan EOG announced that Wressle production was "averaging 665 barrels of oil per day ... as the Operator ....... continues to evaluate the reservoir response to increased pump rates". What we don't know yet is for how long that rate persisted, and whether it's been better or worse since then. My personal view is that it may be apparent, when we see the NSTA's January figures, that the 665 bopd was measured over only a few days in January. We will have to wait until early April, I guess, as UJO have recently said that they'll be making quarterly earnings statements from now on.

Are they still in the process of getting the flow rates stabilised or have they completed it and keeping it to themselves?!! If they're still seeking stabilised rates it's taking them long enough.

The NSTA’s December production information has just been published. I’d expected that in November Wressle would have shown some flush production after the two month hiatus for the installation of the electrical submersible pump. However, the NSTA data shows that in December Wressle produced an average 439 barrels of oil, 181,000 cubic ft. of gas and 109 barrels of water per day. From this one can calculate that the water cut was 19.9% and the gas oil ratio was 412 cu. feet per barrel. For comparison, the figures for November were 458 barrels of oil, 182,500 cubic ft. of gas, 107 barrels of water per day, with a water cut of 18.9% and a GOR of 398 cu. feet per bbl. So both the water cut and GOR have only risen very slightly over the month. IMO this is very encouraging as Wytch Farm is still producing a significant amount of oil (9,000 bopd in December) with a water cut of around 96%.
