Market Makers may well be under pressure to push the price up soon,
if the stronger buying continues.

Thats now happening - Thursday, 28th -

it is never logical the price up and down as today it is going up when there are more sells than buys ?

2wild we are on the same page. There may be a little more upside left on DNA2 but the potential as I see it is greater for AA4. Hence the switch, a bit more tweaking to do once we get into the new tax year. Perhaps the market will wake up when the next dividend announcement is made, most likely date is 3 April. For example HL are showing the yield as 13.72% which seems to equate to 3 x 1.75p, when the forward yield is just shy of 20% - 4 x 2.00p.

Dna2 did well rising by around 25%, following the 120p compulsory purchase announcement. AA4 is oddly down following one at 64.5p, despite increasing dividend twice since.

Hopefully the bottom is in with Bid price up this morning and again this afternoon.

Should get another 2p quarterly dividend announcement within next 2 weeks.

7 years ago I chose DNA as a better bet than AA4. I've started swapping some of my DNA2 into AA4 in order to make use of the longer time to lease end dates. The returns on AA4, DNA2 and DNA3 look pretty similar so I'm looking to keep the gravy train running for longer.

Added a few at just below 40p/20% yield. Just seems too low/high when I throw all considerations into my black box - state of Boeing, state of supply chain across the industry, years long waiting lists, shortage of pilots, staff and airport slots, no new wide bodies currently planned by anyone, statement by Tim Clark that A350-10 not buyable with current engine, 777x likely further delayed, boom in flying, Emirates wanting to grow further to take advantage and also to dull new competition from neighbours etc etc. And then there's a rejuvenated Thai and the (now much sought after) A350s. And the fact that the manager seems to know what it's about.

On teletext it said that a Boeing 737-800 after landing in Oregan was missing a fuseage panel - All passengers and crew landed safely. Another mishap for Boeing.
Believe it said that it was an older plane.
All happen to the 737 fleet to. Must give more confidence for those passengers who flow A380.

Seems to be illogical to sell a stock which is yielding 20%
and which is almost guaranteed to be paid out for the next 2 years,
as the share price can't keep on drifting as it has done of late, wiping out the dividend.

10 million shares (over 4 mill£) changed hands on the 12/3/24 in 4 transactions....if someone has sold someone must have bought them? I do not think it was the Market Maker, they will not have such deep pockets. Good to see liquidity on Amedeo.
Traded monthly values are up which should be a good sign.

I am surprised Amedeo share price is not going up. All news are positive. May be we have to be patient. Perhaps large funds/trust will not consider due to the fact that the company has not a long term plan? clearly leases will be renewed!

Increase my holding by almost 20%, at 40.1p this morning. Ahead of next month's 2p quarterly Dividend. Totally tax free in my ISA, yielding practically 20% annually. Plus prospective capital returns in a few years time at a large premium. Previous return following lease expiry was 64.5p per share.

I've reduced as there are several better opportunites in my investing universe. I am keeping my stock outside of tax shelters so as to swap income for a (likely) capital loss. Boeing inability to produce planes must be good for valuations of all our aircraft though. I'm having to juggle some large current and future gains so I don't think I'm representative.

Logic says that the dividend cannot keep be being wiped out by the fall in share price. In 2026 the need for the A380's will still be very much in demand what the deal will be then one has to wait and see, but a near 20% dividend - wow!.

I'd rather be flying on a A380, than a 737 Max which I understand Ryan Air has ordered another something like 57 planes.

Strange investors are selling - 2 x 600,000 deals - with a 20% yield
Maybe they have to or have found something better which must be difficult.

As an aside, interesting comments on premium economy. I've never flown Emirates, but I do know they were the first airline to put 10 across on a 777 so his words about gilding the lily in economy seem wide of the mark. US airlines (well Continental at least) might have been lazy about their premium product being just a deeper pitch economy but BA and Virgin both put in completely different and separate cabins with 8 across on a 777 / 747 / A340. He would perhaps be nearer the mark about the A380, but then all the cabins on all the airlines are better than their 777 / A350 equivalent with only first under the nose of a 747, or business top deck of a 747 as good. Air New Zealand even had half a top deck with premium economy and a couple of rows of business.

Some brief, but interesting snippets from Sir Tim Clark from last thurs:

My take is that all this just reinforces the view that Emirates need our A380s more than ever - for the forseeable future they have no alternative which fits their model. So, all that really matters is how good a negotiator our manager is and what deal it can strike with Emirates as leases expire. What happens in the greater A380 mkt, so to speak, is of lesser importance, as Emirates will want to stick with the planes they know, are already kitted out correctly etc etc

In the meantime, we know there should be another 18p of divs to come. And the two 777s never get a mention. And the manager seemed quite upbeat about Thai and the A350s in the recent webcast. So that's quite a lot for the current mkt cap imho.

Over the next 2 years we should be receiving a dividend of 16p. Even if the share price fell to 24p - which would then be quite silly - we would still at least be breaking even.

The dividend paid over the last 3 periods has been wiped out by the fall in share price though, but one would imagine this should not be continuing.
