26/3/2024 08:12 | As well as being a material contract win it is a big vote of confidence. Hopefully, leading to similar wins internationally. | pdt

26/3/2024 07:26 | "Major £135m contract award" Cohort announces that its subsidiary SEA (Systems Engineering and Assessment Ltd.) has been awarded a major contract by the UK’s Ministry of Defence to provide Electronic Warfare Counter Measures (Increment 1a) (EWCM 1a) to the Royal Navy with a total value of at least £135m. This includes provision and support of SEA’s Trainable Decoy Launcher System, Ancilia. At the FY 24 interim results Cohort had commented on an overall “increased tempo” of order intake. The Group reported a closing order book of £354m: we note that this latest contract takes the closing order book above the £0.5bn mark at £513.6m. We have raised our FY25 revenue outlook by 2.5% (£5.0m). Thereafter we estimate a contribution from the SEA EWCM contract of c.£15.0m annually. Our FY25 E (adj.) EBITDA estimate is raised by £2.0m, +10%, with an estimated subsequent incremental annual c.£5.0m contribution. Our FY25 EPS outlook is raised from 36.7p to 41.8p. Accordingly, and in the light of additional recent contract wins (e.g. the 19 March Chess Australian Navy contract) our Fair Value is raised to 725p. New research report: | edmonda
20/3/2024 11:09 | At the moment forecasts for 2025 are only showing a 4% increase in EPS. Hopefully there will be some upward revisions that will spur the share price higher. | stevenlondon3
19/3/2024 19:36 | I don't often comment but another great contract win announced today prompts this. They seem to have navigated the last few years pretty well and with defence now recognised as essential to our freedom they may be due a further upgrade. I note that they were at c725p immediately pre-Covid and they are surely stronger now than then. Strange volatility recently with the drop to c540 but there is probably very little real 'free float' and liquidity, hence the high spread. GL to all LTHs (this one 10+ years) | petomi

21/2/2024 16:21 | The spread went to 25points this afternoon (approx. 4% today) which brought it just below the support area. Back to 9 point spread now. Could be someone looking for shares. I could be wrong too. | phg87
21/2/2024 15:03 | Defence budgets globally are increasing. Chrt has more upside than downside imo | shaker45

31/1/2024 06:44 | Prest, Warmsley and Carter were business associates through Alvis. This is a good thing. Alvis bought Vickers and was then bought by BAe after a bidding war with General Dynamics. | robertball
30/1/2024 09:05 | Hi Robertball. Can you give more information on the ex Alvis guys? Is that a good thing? | phg87
29/1/2024 17:07 | Quite. Volume is poor. The Board are ex Alvis guys. Which they sold to BAe. | robertball
29/1/2024 15:25 | Jumped on board today. Looks like a great company, good wins and goo numbers. Hopefully 600 incoming soon. Quiet enough board too which is always a good sign :) | phg87
