Hello rimau. Fall with QQ. was definitely harsh!! I would also like to buy CHRT but the spread is very off putting

Looking good Johndoe. Hopefully we won't see the 2's again until we have figured out world peace. QQ. - Fall was harsh today, looking interesting again although as i often repeat Chemring will get taken out one day and QQ fails to attract a take-over premium because of its close ties with the MoD. I would also be a buyer again at Cohort at the 440 levels - it continues to drift lower

Can 300p be cracked and held this time?

With very good reason Johndoe! Sold the trading pot on the bounce this morning. Long term position stays safely in the bottom draw. Hoping to see £3 again soon now that the countermeasures mess up turned out not to be a mess up. Buyback programme looks well timed and accretive. The world is sadly continuing to spiral downwards at an alarming rate.

Yes it is El! My second trading pot buy at £2.67 triggered this afternoon. I will add Chemring all the way down if i have to. I see that Nato are running short of munitions to send to Ukraine whilst the UK defense minister urges Nato allies to spend 2% of their GDP on defence as they have committed to do so. Then we have China and Taiwan to follow. The structural growth tailwinds in defence are still not priced in IMO. QQ also cheap. BA. will look interesting again below £10

Groundhog day for me. Limit order triggered at £2.72, £2.67 and £2.62 waiting. This will be the start of my fourth trading pot rinse and repeat of the year. Irrational times.

Added a small amount near £2.81.

IF there is a more significant issue with the contract highlighted,
that may be an expensive buy.

Total guess work El, would have appreciated more detail - a third party supplier with potential quality control issues doesn't sound great tbh. If they end up taking the hit my trading buy limit will certainly be triggered.

So is the delay with that countermeasures order a one off..?.

Might be an opportunity if we get a sell off as it currently appears to
be confined to a small part of the business. The market may not necessarily
give CHG the benefit of the doubt.

Agree El, i also expected £3 to form support lets see if it does this time. This is why i have a trading pot and my long term holding - Chemring is a high quality outfit and will get taken out one day. Its my compromise for falling in love with a (very) few select shares, if i trade a portion and maintain a long term holding i see it as a win-win. I’m also naturally impatient unfortunately so it helps!

rim, sold some, could this be the start
of a higher trading range?, I thought the same on the buy back RNS and
was wrong.

rim, agree with your view. I closed my latest small trade yesterday above 2.90,
the pattern continues to repeat for now, but had hoped the last statement would
move CHG into a higher trading range. Unfortunately that RNS coincided with weakening
wider equity markets.

Well i didn’t expect it but my £2.76 buy has been triggered, the trading pot is back. Same pattern as Q1 & Q2, £2.76 will be my high, 3 more tranche’s at £2.67, £2.57 and £2.52. Isn’t it mildly depressing that for quality companies buy and hold is less lucrative than dipping in and out. Even the buyback is not supportive.
