From today's bulletin from The Graphene Council:

To strengthen the relationship with Malaysia-based energy company Petroliam Nasional Berhad, Haydale welcomed Petronas researchers to its headquarters in Ammanford, and sister plant in Loughborough, UK. The visit comes after the successful execution of a collaboration agreement, as announced in August 2023.

I'm sure that St Gobain, Cadent and Petronas weren't wearing Rose-Tinted Glasses when they made such positive statements about Haydale's functionalisation process. I appreciate that they all have product to sell but their due diligence will have been thorough.

I have to hope that the disastrous history IS behind us; it would appear that Octopus Investments so believes.

Summary

Therefore, after due consideration of the forecasts prepared, the sensitivities applied and the Group's current cash resources after the equity fund raise in October 2023 and the terms of its debt facilities, the directors consider that the Company and the Group have adequate financial resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future (being a period of at least 12 months from the date of this report), and for this reason the financial statements have been prepared on the going concern basis.

Whilst the directors believe that the going concern basis is appropriate at the date of this report, the Board is mindful that the net proceeds of the fund raise will be insufficient to fund the cash requirements of the Group through to a position where it is able to fund itself from its own cashflow. The Board continues to pursue the possibility of securing additional debt facilities to provide additional liquidity. In the event that such debt facilities are not available or are unavailable in sufficient quantum it is very likely that the Group would need to raise additional equity funding in the future and, whilst the directors believe that future equity funding would be available, there can be no guarantee that sufficient funds could be raised at a later date. Any additional equity financing may be dilutive to Shareholders.

"With the fundamental building blocks in place and continuing progress in our key markets, the Board remains confident that the Company will be able to take advantage of the traction it is now seeing."

Could the past disastrous history be behind us - or new management spin wearing rose tinted glasses.?

I've taken a few of these this morning, I've been thinking about investing in Haydale for a while now.
I've done a bit of research over the last few weeks and I remember reading something about Graphene soles for training shoes, anyway in the pub over the weekend I was chatting to some friends and they were talking about their training shoes/boots and low and behold they had Graphene soles on them. they were talking about how good they were and to be fair the foot wear they were wearing looked great. anyway that spurred me on to invest this morning. gla

Unless they multiply sales several fold, they're not going to break even in the next year. They'll need to raise cash again, if they can.

Look at what happened with AGM, other companies like VRS also giving absolutely shocking performance.

This company were punting contracts with big companies a few years ago- Huntsman, Flowtite. Came to nought, and the share price has followed it.

The silicone Carbide business seems to do okay, but the graphene business is tiny.

Aye, but what's the story with Octopus Investments? They've decided to take a 23% stake at this point, having previously not had a holding. They must see something they like.

Saint-Gobain Boron Nitride Collaborates with Haydale Group on Functionalized Powders

This is a follow-upannouncement from St Gobain to that of 12th April this year and it seems to me that that company is very definitely 'on board'.

KEEP THE FAITH!

I would have preferred not to have my stock split into deferred shares which are likely to be worthless and cancelled at some point in the future.

A hidden agenda, Ricardox? Why would you vote against when dilution at least gives a shbareholder the chance of survival but failure of the issue is 'curtains'. Moreover, there must be a fairly cogent story for the money to have been raised so quickly.

They'll be back for more of the same this time next year, as there remains no clear pipeline for sales. The last fund raise of a similar amount only lasted them 13 months.

Directors putting little skin in the game unsurprisingly.

Company should be scaled right back, so they cut their coat according to their cloth and the BOD put on notice.
