Another troll by the username lsehotdealz haha, share price is stagnant and there’s talks of fundraise at 10p on that board lol desperation has lead to going round posting on different board to prevent share price from dropping, usually ud stay quiet and average down and accumulate if you see huge potential lmaoo he’s spamming all the boards

It looked set to fail from last month, when three of the major shareholders said they wouldn't tender their shares. It's why they weren't trading anywhere near 620p.

City Developments' bid has failed by a narrow margin.

At the moment it looks like CDL's final offer may not receive the require level of acceptances by 1pm on Friday. Yesterday they'd received 44.2%. They need more than 50%.

Where will the share price go if the offer lapses?

Some institutional resistance to the CDL offer:

and

CDL's opening offer was 510p!

Offer of 552.5p per share is a whopping discount of approx. 33% off the NTAVPS - if this goes through then CDL are truly getting a bargain. I won't be too sorry to see the back of my holding though - it has to qualify for one of the dullest shares I've ever owned.

those results yesterday were quite decent but no response/co is £400m below net assets which seems way too low. Needs to generate fresh institutional interest but he is not going to do this because it gets in the way of the creep operation.

60% now held by CDL , should not be allowed , they are in control , and not a level market

............and now what, they jump again. Not that old rumour about the company being taken private? I'll be furious if it really happens just after I sold.

I'm confused too. I owned these for a few years and made a good profit when I sold a few months ago. At the time they had reported lower sales & earnings per share, and had a mediocre yield. Intercontinental Hotels looked a better bet. But suddenly these leap up for no clear reason.............

stock fall in the last hour pretty silly, investors seem to have seized on the comments about Singapore. He does tend to shoot himself in the foot does old Kwek, never totally upbeat always something to moan about. You never get the feeling this board wants the MLC price to go up. There had better be some dividend changes next year - hope co ditches its obsession with 2.08p ps.

I'm struggling to fully understand how good or bad these 3Q results are. The timing of closures, lease terminations, property sales and conversions, etc is very confusing. However REVPAR is up a little, they have moved into net cash, and have a pipeline of 21 hotels coming along, so I'm holding on.....at least for now. Meanwhile I'll re-read the results!

edit - I make nav per share 706p which means the share price at 495p is at a 40% discount. However that doesn't do much for us unless they can realise some of the value by property trades or unless the company is taken private (or a sale of the company but that looks very unlikely).

am I correct in assuming that the fall in price in 2011 to the beginning of 2012 was due to the earthquake in new zealand?

undercapitalised smaller Spanish banks are going to have to unload MLC soon to meet EC capitalisation requirements.

Who will buy....?
