Yes New Path looks to have a great growth runway in front of it. 15% equity stake to boot.

Anybody buying at present price?

Pleased to see that they are supporting New Path Fire & security with further follow-on investments..

This is a great company in their portfolio. All companies and businesses have to comply with stringent fire regs today. The inspections are normally done on an annual basis hence this means lot's of repeat trade with companies having not much choice but to use their services..

The industry is also pretty fragmented with loads of small companies dotted around the country. Many only employ just a handful of staff and imo many would be open to be acquired by a larger operator. So, imo, a buy and build strategy seems logical.

Businesses like New Path usually end-up getting sold at large premiums themselves further down the line so i would expect this be a very profitable business partnership with DUKE over the next few years.

stagvalley Seems a reliable company with no serious issues over several years and a good income stream. Anyone disagree?
(On my phone, I can only look at ADFVN for 5-10 seconds before on advert supplants my page so I may give up. They only want paying customers at £20/month I think?).

There is an ADVFN APP which I use and it doesn't do that on my phone.......Worth a try?

I suspect you are unable to read accounts

Tristone is a buy and build strategy £917k of goodwill amortisation is non cash business appears to be profitable excluding amortisation. EBITDA is a large number I would happily invest in both Duke and Tristone

I had a look at Tristone Healthcare where they have invested £19m according to their website.

I would be interested how much anyone here would lend them based on those accounts.

It may just be one example from their portfolio but for that reason I could not invest here despite the yield.

It would be nice to see an increase in the div as it is 2 years since the last increase

Why strange? They put out another positive trading udpate which justifies at least a 5% rise in my view (so about 3% once taking off dividend).

With lower interest rates on the horizon this will lead to higher profits and higher dividends for Duke shareholders imho

The yield is well above the current rate of inflation so I am happy with the regular payments into my ISA.

Duke's recent exit from an investment with a 70%+ Capital gain with a potential deferred element still to come shows it is so much more than simply a yield play but even solely as a yield/annuity play it is a stunning investment. Watch what happens when interest rates drop.

Duke is a yield play. I doubt there will ever be material capital gain. If they continue increasing revenues they may increase the dividend. The current ~8.5% yield does not need capital gain to qualify as good return.

Well if IC recommend this, I'm definitely out.

Happy to sell at over 33p today. The shares have done little since Aug 2021, other than fall sharply then fluctuate in the lower 30s for the past 18 months. Waste of time. The recent rise is probably down
to the IC rec as mug punters buy in. At least made a half-decent profit including div, which I wasn't expecting, but I won't be buying DUKE again.

Very useful to see the Fairmed exit is likely to generate IRR in the high teens. That was not clear to me from yesterday's RNS.

Fabrikat exit at IRR 36% looks to be their 2nd highest exit IRR - see slide 14 of

Looks like 2 very good exits - surprised no reaction at all to the share price, but think this is back in buying territory after recent weakness.

Yeah they should just provide standard info on exit - or explain why that is not possible / appropriate. Both RNS look positive though.
