Criminally activity by the market makers. When the FSA has finished with the banks hopefully they'll start on this lot.

The fall was do with directors leaving and shares being transfered at probably realistic values.

Company appears to be struggling to make its mark, and really shouldn't be quoted.

No drop. The code CMP has been reused - it used to mean Compco, a property group which was taken over in 2003 at 393p per chare. Now CMP has been reused for Champion plc, which was formerly called Stepquick. advfn appears not to have caught up with this, and the apparent fall is from the last day Compco was quoted to today's price for Champion - but they are not the same stock.

I would venture an offer in the region of 360p.

What is a share worth - eventually what someone will pay for it.
The net asset value is likely to be depressed in this market (London property prices), however directors/wives/pension plans were buying personally in December 2002 at 260p and 241p in January 2003. If they are paying cash to acquire further shares, this can only be seen as a floor for valuation purposes.

The market certainly hasn't taken kindly to something in those Dec 3 results! Down 18% now and still falling steeply.

About 7 weeks before those results, Philip Lewis, the chap who was scheduled to take over as chairman, resigned with immediate effect:

"Compco Holdings PLC..... announces the appointment of Bernard Myers as a
Non-executive director and as the proposed Group Chairman.... This supersedes the announcement made by Compco, on 11 June 2002, regarding its intention to appoint Philip Lewis as Non-executive Chairman....."

Hmmm..
