Apparently my broker received the money today for this transaction! It would have been nice to have had a say in the deal but I guess cash in your pocket is not a bad thing in the current circumstances!

My broker is now investigating to see what he can find out. I presume GTE shareholders will also hold some shares in the new entity as well as it is a merger.

I will report back if/when he finds something!

I got this information from TD waterhouse(a letter to me). I have tried to find more detailed information about the merger from GTE and WG. websites, but can not get anything.

Wood Group Gas Turbine Services Holding Limited will merge with Gas Turbine efficiency Limited with effect from 30th September 2011.

Under the terms of the merger, shareholders will be entitled to receive USD 0.0078 in exchange for each Gas Turbine Efficiency Limited share held.

Hi Albertedwin , I agree with your thoughts on GTE , I still believe that the company has a future and am still holding shares in GTE in the hope that I see a return on my investment (fingers crossed).

Reading between the lines from this Report it would seem that the Company's commercial fortunes may be beginning to revive slightly. ......after having a little dig around it would appear that u have some valid points regarding the delisting and subsequent improvement in the companies future.........it would appear thru growing revenue and inferred future improvement, that upon paying down debt there lies a company who may become profitable.......and those who hold stock where they r transferable to their direct market access could make a good return........

More likely protecting themselves. I would suspect they are only working matched bargains and no online dealing.
Place a limit order of a reasonable size and they could probably find a seller.

..why do punters keep buying biggish chunks here?
421818 just gone thru at .42p a little higher on the ask?
and why cant u get quotes for any small sizes? r the mm's protecting the interests of the buying public, never known them do that b4........very odd company situation this one..........

Gentleman, I am buying...this is because even if the GTE de-listed in April, still it will be sold with return to shareholder at least 5p. I am happy with 1Million trades just 5k, will give me 25k.
