03/7/2019 21:12 | ASOS had: A USP - a proper one. Timing was right: 1. internet shopping just starting to have traction 2. the rise of celebrity following 3. great management 4. they were profitable before they came to market 5. if you researched you'd have discovered that affiliates were selling shed loads of their stuff That doesn't mean I made a mint - I sold way too early thinking some serious competition would knock them. ... and the main point is that nobody is going to find the next ASOS by reading bulletin boards, because they hardly ever contain unbiased or rational research and worse than that, you can't identify the genuine stuff that isn't just posted by some broker, analyst, ramper or out and out shyster. | yump
03/7/2019 10:20 | If you're looking for the next retail ASOS you are too late. ASOS was the one. That's why some folk are getting burnt with 'next ASOS' stocks. They are rated way too high for what they are - 'me-too' businesses. Better to look for the next something-in-a-diffe | yump
