Apparently not buyback so you have to wonder who is the buyer and who is the seller. Someone is certainly selling plenty.

Almost 1.2M went through at 116p. Buyback? Would be reasonably content if it was at that price

A 20k buy @ 115p by a director seems a reasonable commitment in my book.

RCT, I agree. Some people are impervious to reasoning or criticism so the only way to isolate them is to ignore. No comments means no one is reading so the offending poster gets bored in the end and goes where people still read what they say.
For anyone who hasn't done so already, please use the filter button unless you want to allow this board to be clogged up with ill-mannered irrelevance.

I have mrf on filter, I think it is the best way. It does make me laugh though as I thought the leavers were supposed to be the knuckle draggers.

Modest initial director buy yesterday. Every little helps.

I’d love to share my views on Brexit but this isn’t the place to do it.

Can we just stick to RECI please?

Though Reci is proving strangely resilient in a down market day. In common with other highly discounted income trusts.

An article in the FT this week noted net inflows v net outflows by pension companies into the UK stock market has fallen to just 500 million, and when one takes into account inflation, it is effectively negative. Extrapolating forwards on this basis. This suggests the UK stock market is grossly overvalued. The long-term future of the UK is an ever-growing train wreck!

Pray tell dear Brucie, why? :-) But perhaps best on the SHA thread not here.

Well I look forward to hearing your analysis.
I didn't mentioned the B word, though as you know I agree with MRF about the substantive causes.

Yes, we voted leave to care for their futures.

Yes, it is a worry, I know I hound a few of the Brexit numpties around for their idiotic views, but it is a horrific situation. I admire the British approach often adopted as in the Montypython sketch of crucifixion whilst singing a jolly tune. However, you do wonder if these people have children or grandchild and have any care at all for their futures!

Well MRF I find your comments reassuring.
--------------------------------------
I find them very worrying! And I can't yet see any macro analysis on this being published and owned by the political classes. It points to the demise of London/UK as a financial/investment hub.
I wonder why.

As long as we avoid too many losses on the loans they won't cut the divided IMHO. Most of the bonds have gone now so we have senior secured lending with low ltv on most of the book. One would hope that they can't f that up but who knows.

Well MRF I find your comments reassuring.

If the shares are being dumped simply because they’re ’UK’ then that’s fine with me. Better than there being an issue with the asset base.

I’ll happily take the 10%+ dividend and keep buying.

Even if they trim the dividend back to 8% it’s still a nice buy. I don’t think they will cut it though.

I’m happy to ride this one. Hoping for another dip next week for my new ISA cash.
