IIP buy price at 2p with trading slow this morning. Moves very speedily indeed and one to get into quickly if interested. Only 2p and NAV at 22p - target 11p at a 50% discount to NAV...

36.5m would have gone a long way but then again non of the banks were taking up Finkit. Could have used it now to take advantage of crypto.

It's a disgrace. We should report them to FCA. This deal would have taken months to negotiate & probably on the cards during sale in the summer. Daylight robbery!

Well, £36.5m recoups nearly half of the £75m that Fiserve paid for Monitise.

GoCompare.com Group has agreed to acquire The Global Voucher Group, which trades as MyVoucherCodes, and its subsidiaries from Monitise for £36.5m and expects full-year adjusted operating profits to be at the upper end of forecasts

The acquisition will be financed through a combination of existing cash resources and an extension to GoCompare's existing credit facilities.

GoCompare said: 'MyVoucherCodes.co.uk is one of the UK's largest online voucher code sites with eight million e-mail subscribers and a website which receives c.45 million annual visits.

'As such, MyVoucherCodes benefits from industry-leading commercial relationships, working with more than 3,000 retail brands and generated £350m of retailer revenue for the year ended 30 June 2017.'

The acquisition is expected to be earnings accretive in 2018 on an underlying basis.

Chief executive Matthew Crummack said: 'We are delighted with this acquisition which will complement the services offered by GoCompare.

'We are making strong progress towards our ambition to become the 'go-to' place for savvy savers to find great deals, and for service providers to reach and acquire customers.

'I am looking forward to MyVoucherCodes playing a valuable role within the Group and providing us with the potential to help even more people, more often.'

The group said it continued to take a disciplined approach to trading and expected revenue for the full year 2017 to be in the region of £149m, c.5% up on FY-2016, an increase on the 4% revenue growth achieved in H1-2017.

It said continued improvements in conversion had driven an increase in the marketing margin in H2-2017 relative to H1-2017 and adjusted operating profit for FY-2017 was expected to be at the upper end of current market expectations.

Just received notification from Selftrade that my account should be credited today. Will be nice to have it invested elsewhere in an attempt to recoup all my losses on this one. Could take a while. C'est la vie and all that!! GLA.

Narrow vote???
96% of the shares voted for the deal.
You seem confused this is one share one vote not one man one vote. The total of the PI`s voting against was less than 1 arb held, lots of noise on here and other boards but nothing to back it up with. Buy an index tracker fund and save yourself the heartache.

RIP Monitise

Should of been a transformational company, shame the management were not competent enough to make it into that.

Feel sorry for all the holders here that were in for the long term and got truly shafted by Lukies & Co.

After a narrow vote in favour of the resolution - well that's it then

What do we expect now ?

- announcement in due course of sale of Monitise Americas, Monitise MEA, Big Radical and Monitise Content for far more in total than Fiserve paid for the group

- nice jobs for Lee Cameron, Gavin James, Nick Cheetham, Will Jones ?

- knighthood for Mr Lukies ?

c'est la vie

Any ideas how / when we receive our cash for these shares. Not that I'm excited by the prospect of losing £££'s but I'd prefer it in my bank now ...
