16/4/2024 12:09 | Usual rubbish imo 80k$ ! Not enough profit from that to pay the petrol bill for the directors' cars !! ---- Perhaps warming up for a new cash/loan raise or to extend the end date on an existing loan. Imo this company has been running on fumes for a long time. I hope they make it but the financial position does not look pretty. | smithie6
07/3/2024 14:40 | "...the Lenders will be issued for no additional consideration such number of t42 shares such that, together with the t42 shares already held, each Lender's percentage shareholding shall remain the same" ..."...at no additional consideration such number of additional shares...such that....each lender's percentage shareholding shall remain the same" Je je, if/when that happens I guess that the share price will fall... ....more dilution, at 0p/share ! | smithie6
07/3/2024 14:34 | Latest RNS ...usual rubbish imo. (& turnover of 4m$ ....many years after listing ...pretty poor perf. ..it is not enough turnover to support being listed imo) | smithie6
06/2/2024 00:31 | Some publicity nonsense. Are they due for a raise? | glavey
05/2/2024 09:07 | ...shorters.. Get real. No one shorts shares with a cap. value so close to zero ! And very few, or zero, financial houses would offer shorts in Trac. And any that might would only do it for peanuts in shares. ----- ...each to their own opinion but imo today's RNS is yet other red herring. The co. has a real need, unless it convinced loan note holders to not call in their loans then imo the co. would be in administration (that is what happens when you are loss making & can't pay back loans on the due dates). I hope the company survives but it has never delivered & today's news makes no change to that. Is the customer DHL, Fed. Express, MSC, Maersk, Hapag Lloyd,..making an order for 1/2 million units ? No ! The gross profit from this order (1000 units, apparently, over what time frame ?) surely doesn't cover a fraction of the costs of operating the company. And appears to be a sale to a company that is not a major player. Zzzzzzzz. ----- This company has been banging the drum for ages about supplying the massive potential market in shipping containers. Let us be truthful, it has not happened. As a result the cap. value of the co. is close to zero. Might the co. have success in 2, 3, 5 years ? Who knows. But will it still exist then to find out ?. Debt up to its eyeballs & over their heads'. | smithie6
05/2/2024 08:24 | Luckily seems they have survived. Not so lucky for shorters. | babbler
22/1/2024 12:21 | Convertible loans. RNS for possible extension of repayment date. So, if the lender does not agree to delay the repayment & asks for repayment & one assumes that the co. can't repay the loan then does that mean curtains for TRAC or at least suspension of it's shares 'while its financial position is clarified' ?? | smithie6
16/1/2024 17:52 | Bet an rns in the coming days but remember it's always intraday | turbotrader2
04/12/2023 10:23 | Btw ..they have no working system, no trials have been done, no user interface exists It is a complete red herring imo. The same as many RNSs before from Trac. | smithie6
01/12/2023 12:29 | (for communication to containers buried/surrounded by other containers One option as I wrote is to use a leaky coax/wire antenna that hangs vertically between the containers (leaky coax/wire antennas are already available imo, used imo for communication to/from apartments in a building)....but that would communicate to the ship (a bus/network type system) & the ship would be the one link to/from any satellite. Another option is that all/most containers carry communication units to make a network & a data message from say container 27 is passed thru the other containers, to the ship which then communicates the data to the external world. But having communication units on all/most containers & compliant with 1 standard & able to pass data, as part of a network, while it seems possible it seems very unlikely imo due to the costs involved. | smithie6
01/12/2023 10:04 | Btw Is it that useful to know the data from a container at sea ? If you don't like any of the data, well, unlucky ! you can't do anything...a ship can't pull out a container while at sea & do anything to it ! | smithie6
01/12/2023 10:02 | So, Trac announces a collaboration with a tiny company that had one of its nanosatellites launched in 2021 & now a new design of nanosatellite in 2023 ie. it is proven to be a nano company !! Compare with Iridium which is imo the gorilla in the room for messaging via satellite. Inmarsat is another biggie. Ships & oil rigs normally use Inmarsat terminals. Inmarsat services include voice & data services. The data service to airplanes over oceans uses the Inmarsat system I am sure. Some little upstart that has had launched 1 nanosatellite, imo it is currently irrelevant. In 5-10 years who knows. But Iridium & Inmarsat are big players, with budgets in the tens/hundreds of millions of pounds. If anyone wanted to connect to a shipping container at sea it has been 'possible' for many years. But note that to have a working data link most/all antennas need a line of sight path to the satellite. Stick 5 metal containers on top & imo it has 0 chance of transferring any data. (Best solution imo is to transmit data to the ship & the ship then transmits the data. Links on the ship could perhaps use wires/coax type antennas hanging down vertically close to the containers. Transmission with a signal bouncing between containers might be possible on board a ship with shortish distances but to a satellite 400km-700km up in the sky is very different. If you work out the area of a sphere with radius of 400-700km & the receiver is say 10cm X 10cm, you can quite easily estimate the reduction in the signal level. If a signal is way below the noise level, you just 'receive'/hear noise. ---- GPS receivers receive a signal from low earth orbit satellites. The antenna is about palm size. But it needs line of sight to work. I am sure it won't work with other containers stuck on top. It is surely the same for this. This RNS is a Red herring imo. | smithie6

01/12/2023 09:28 | This is a company in financial distress. Fundraisecoming? | volsung
01/12/2023 08:59 | Some text from the Sateliot website "The new nanosatellite introduces a novelty with respect to the previous one that Sateliot put into orbit in March 2021" ...this Sateliot company looks like a nano company... ...2 years between getting a nano satellite in to space ! & it wants to have ~240 nano satellites ....I assume it needs a major cash raise....& some publicity in advance . It is not a serious major venture imo. There are other companies operating bigger systems. Nano satellites doing data collection & forwarding have been around for decades, since at least 1990 & before then imo. Used for example for messaging to people in Alaska, north pole, south pole. The low orbit satellites fly overhead every now & again whereas geostationary satellites are normally stationary over the equator & have poor or zero connection to the poles. (A pole can be in darkness for 24 hours/day; the location affects things including access to a goestationart satellite). | smithie6
01/12/2023 08:40 | "In response, shipping companies are allocating significant capital to address this, targeting to make 25% of their containers 'smart' by 2026". 'if' that was true then major contracts are being placed now by shipping companies or container companies for smart modules And we know that TRAC is not receiving those orders, so someone must be. Or the claim is false. Sorry, but I have zero confidence in the bod of TRAC. Years of dubious or rubbery RNSs which never produce any real turnover. | smithie6
01/12/2023 08:29 | Up 40% ...that is quite funny really.... For an RNS that produces no cash. ------- Imagine how a communication signal can go from a shipping container, through the 5 metal shipping containers sitting on top of it & then up to a satellite 700km above it. Just imagine ...because it can't ! | smithie6
01/12/2023 08:05 | ...this 'news' is just one more red herring to add to rubbish tip of garbage "news" from this company & in my opinion is yet another red flag Look at all the ramping text, for yet another 'collaboration' that with 99% surety will not provide any sales or profit for Trac, just the same as past 'news' of collaboration. The rest of us are waiting to see an RNS about turning the lights off and/or de-listing. | smithie6
01/12/2023 07:56 | 1 December 2023 t42 IoT Tracking Solutions plc Sateliot and t42 Lead the Way with Satellite-Based 5G IoT Maritime Tracking Solution T42 IoT Tracking Solutions plc (AIM: TRAC) ("t42" or the "Company"), and Sateliot IOT Sefvices S.L. ("Sateliot"), based in Barcelona, the first company to operate a Low-Earth orbit (LEO) 5G IoT satellite constellation, are pleased to announce that the parties have agreed to collaborate to boost their connected containers offerings. t42 intends to incorporate 5G-IoT communication modules into its existing and future devices deployed in containers for its more than 50 logistics partners across the Globe, connecting them to Sateliot's satellites, thus eliminating the problem of lack of coverage on the high seas. This will ensure secure control of merchandise at all times, as these modules monitor location, acceleration, temperature, humidity, impacts, tilt, light conditions, and container damage, among other parameters, providing intelligent detection of these variables anytime, anywhere. Positioned at the forefront of technological innovation, t42 consistently spearheads advancements in the dynamic landscape of the IoT market. The Company's commitment extends to leading the charge in revolutionising the tracking and monitoring of shipping containers. By seamlessly integrating cutting-edge technologies, we empower businesses to thrive in the fast-evolving global container and freight market. Currently, a significant majority of maritime transport containers are not tracked or inspected due to a lack of cellular and satellite connectivity, leading to losses from cargo theft, tampering, accidents, damages, etc. In response, shipping companies are allocating significant capital to address this, targeting to make 25% of their containers 'smart' by 2026. Furthermore, maritime companies handle 80% of international trade goods by volume. It is estimated that shipping companies could save many billions of euros annually by transitioning to smart connected containers. Sateliot's unique technology allows extending 5G NarrowBand-IoT connectivity to any part of the world without terrestrial coverage, without operators having to change their hardware, and at a low cost. The significance of this technology lies in the premise that operators can connect to the nanosatellite network via a roaming service when they need to extend their coverage. Furthermore, the low cost per device and connection is an added advantage driving this innovation. The combination of Sateliot's technology and t42's hardware is an opportunity to revolutionise a sector that has mostly stayed the same since Malcolm McLean invented the shipping container in 1956. Back then, the revolutionary solution came from the new standardised way of shipping goods, with a newly designed container perfectly shaped to fit all ships, tools, and ports. Now, the Company believes, a second revolution is in process with the new 5G standard for IoT communications capable of connecting devices seamlessly to satellite (NTN) and cellular networks. Jaume Sanpera, Sateliot's CEO, said : "Our collaboration marks a pivotal moment in the industry's history, transforming traditional shipping containers into intelligent, connected assets. Tracking in open seas, until now, a very luxurious satellite service will be democratised to all." Avi Hartmann, t42's CEO, added : "It is unbelievable what a small hardware investment can represent for the industry's performance overall. This change has come to stay; there's no doubt about it and t42 has positioned itself to be a leader in this change over the next few years." | dave4545
