It now seems that the port is being used by an Indian company called Ashapura and the mine is being continued by Forecariah Guinea Mining SA - Belzones JV partner with China International Fund Limited. This is now having all of the hallmarks of assets stolen from under shareholders noses by some clever manoevering..

kevjones - I admit Bellzone was high risk and I agree with you about the ramping scum that are on every AIM BB it seems. Luckily i was not in BZM too deeply, but what annoys me is after everything the company said about assets, the liquidators can dismiss so quickly.
But I suppose an African project run in the theifdom of Jersey was a bad mixture.

I got a similar message, will we ever know who nicks the resource BZM had, but we have been had ! If there was a big II involved this may not have been so easy for the liquidators but we are easy to push around especially as this is a tiny backwoods share. Nobody has a single big enough stake to take any form of expensive action and they know this. --- Why did I ever bother with AIM !!!!

Alan Roberts and Ben Rhodes of Grant Thornton Jersey were appointed Joint Liquidators of Bellzone Mining plc (‘the Company’) on 13 December 2018.

The Company is insolvent and unable to pay its debts.

The Joint Liquidators are assessing the assets and liabilities of the Company but it is, at present, too early for them to provide an estimate of any return to creditors.

It is unlikely that there will be any return to shareholders. The Joint Liquidators will issue a statement to creditors and shareholders when they are in a position to do so.

Donald I agree. There is a greater game at play, everything is about making the ordinary investor shoulder the burden. Only 10-15% of AIM companies are honest enterprises. This one was always risky, I never thought that the railway was defendable from a security position. Far far too deep in the jungle. Kalia will only ever be developed of Simandou is commercialised.

Often the valuations for these resource companies are not outlandish in themselves but frequently there is a glaringly obvious major risk. Open cast coal mine for example which looks valuable but as the seam is say, 150-250 metres underground the overburden volumes are environmentally prohibitive. Stranded gas fields another example, loligo in the Falklands a case in point.

Still I doubt there were many of you guys left here?

Another asset prepped ready for taking away from AIM after they have milked all and sundry.

90% of AIM companies are set up with this as the end game, taking it private for the benefit of the few after the many have paid for everything.
