Marks and Spencer will shut 67 shops over next five years to save £300m: Retailer announces a QUARTER of its bigger stores that sell clothing and homeware will close as it battles 'difficult economic backdrop' and rising costs
Marks and Spencer says it will close 67 of its stores down over the next five years
Comes as part of efforts to save £300million and reduce a £100m energy bill
The closures are part of a previous announcement that 110 stores will be closing
But 67 stores will now shut doors at an accelerated rate, possibly in three years
The high street retailer has not yet confirmed which of its stores will be closing.
