I had a look on the H&W website but see no mention of the gas storage project.
There is some info here hxxps://www.islandmageeenergy.com/

Is the project a dead duck or will it come back to life given the current UK lack of storage?

'Extra gas storage wouldn’t have helped'......Italy and Germany have 17 and 16.5 times more storing capacity than the UK...OK, it didn't protect them from the current gas price hike...but at least they have no danger of Black Outs or keeping the lights on.

1000 apprentices !!!!

At what £15k each £15m per year.

Current ships in their docks..... one, the Azura.

The potential is there the work currentlty isn't, good wind turbine contract though.

I'm all in favour of the ML license but be aware that the current crisis is not a crisis of storage, it's a crisis of current flow. Storage is massively under-utilised across Europe: a little over 70% usage instead of a little under 90% which is the normal average this time of year. Extra gas storage wouldn't have helped.

Manuman, government only interested in windmills. We could develop more of our gas sources instead of being reliant on Norway, Russia, France, Germany and Qatar. With greenies Boris & Carrie, don't hold your breath.

If only we had this gas storage in place perhaps the gas price crisis would not be as bad.
Shame we had no strategic decision makers in government.

You can't 'knock them' for trying'.

The Prime Minister, Leader of the Conservative Party, The Prime Minister 10:30 am, 16th September 2021

'Of course Northern Ireland will play its part, not least in the shipbuilding strategy that will follow after the spending review. I should have made more of that. I am delighted to say that Harland and Wolff has, as I understand it, just taken on another 1,000 apprentices for the first time in a very long time to get ready for exactly that strategy'

There used to be a man who walked his wolf around Islandmagee.
Think the wolf is dead now, or maybe the man

7/50% rising to 60% UK content. So one way or another INFA and their UK largest footprint fabrication works + two of the largest dry docks in Europe are going to get some big contracts. In the meantime, these contracts help cash flow and reduce dilution.

6/A decision on that is due late this year.I'm not kidding myself that the competition isn't hot but INFA has been clear that on the planned MOD work alone there isn't enough UK fabrication to deal with it all and then there are the offshore wind projects that must be...

5/What all of that does is set INFA up for an attack on the really big company making contracts such as the FSS programme (£1.6BN) and the new national flagship tender which is worth between gbp200-250mil

4/So a good repeat customer to build on be it their tankers are based worldwide.INFA stated H2 2021 should deliver at least £21m in revenues and these deals go a long way to helping deliver that.

3/I wouldn't think they would expend the best part of 2 weeks getting her to Belfast unless the work was substantial.Teekay incidentally is a significant shipping company holding as of 2020 65 LNG, LPG and oil tankers with 19 new ships on order.

2/The Dorset Spirit is a beast of an oil tanker ship at 279m x 49m and is travelling all the way from New Foundland to be repaired at Belfast. She's also 1 of 3 sister ships servicing oil companies in that region but also more importantly owned by Teekay.
