I also wonder how the Payload Development work is going?

"The second contract with the same customer is a development agreement to accelerate the design and prototype delivery of an E-band module that would form part of the satellite payload and provide downlink connectivity to the E-band ground station. Subject to successful qualification testing and field trials this module will represent the first Filtronic product designed for space flight and is key part of our strategy to address the satellite element of the LEO space market." Did you miss reading as well as the maths class at school, the proceeds of their sales paid the tax due on exercise of the options. Higher price equals more tax but same number of shares.

Usual lame excuses. I'm sure Gibbs is kicking himself for not waiting a couple of weeks and selling for an extra £26,000 or 40%. Even worse Michael Tyerman is Chief Financial Officer!

Your clearly not much cop at maths, regardless of the share price they both sold sufficient to cover their tax bill. At todays price they would still have to sell the same percentage of their options. The only conclusion I can draw is you should stick to the day job!

There are three conclusions to be made from Gibbs selling £60,000 of shares at 28p.

1 He didn't believe they would rise any further
2 He didn't have much confidence in Filtronic's prospects
3 He certainly wasn't very sharp because they rose to almost 40p

And neither was Chief Financial Officer Michael Tyerman who sold 57,877 at 28p

Sorry to see RG go but he's no spring chicken and has done a superb job. Nat looks a very good hire and it is interesting that he is an NED at CNC, as that is another small Co that seems to be thriving right now.

Change of CEO wef mid-May with Richard Gibbs remaining in an advisory role until November. Appears to be an orderly and well planned handover so would imagine that there is nothing untoward!

Richard has done a fantastic job at Filtronic.

Hope the incoming CEO is every bit as good for Filtronic!

Anybody who read your advice of 69 days ago namely .... I wouldn't expect the share price to double from 14p. I don't expect it to exceed its recent high very much because it doesn't attract very much business. That may not be the fault of the CEO but its pretty daft of him to use sites like this to pump his efforts.IS feeling a bit miffed! Stick to the day job

Actually its peaked and I would advise any visitors to this site not to be sucked in by such blatant ramping. The share price may well have undergone a re-rating recently but it has clearly reached a plateau. I made a good profit on it and expect it to fall in May back down to sub 20p levels at which point it may be worth buying.

Huge credit for getting such a global gong. I still think this ends with a takeover but I could imagine something north of £1 in H2. Being the company to watch in a global high growth sector will attract attention.
