The company's announcement on 27 September stated that they were hoping to have details of the required new financing together with results published by the end of this month. Needless to say nothing has been released which just about sums up the abilities of this hapless bunch of directors. Shambolic!

Being a local company dealing with the ever increasing need to dispose of unending quantities of rubbish in an environmentally friendly manner, I was more than willing to back them. However, the company's dependence on one family has (imho) been holding them back for quite some time and time is very much of the essence now. Relieved to have exited when I did but disappointed to think that what once appeared to have the makings of an exciting small, niche company may now be on the verge of having to be given away or, worse still, even dissolved.

A great shame.

Heading ever lower, just relieved to have sold out when I did. When will the directors realise that, until investors receive news on the long-overdue financing agreement, there is nothing to stop the share price continue its fall from favour.

It amounts to total apathy towards shareholder by CPO's directors that we have still not heard a word about this badly-needed new financing - I thought they said finances were tight way back in April!

Do they want investors to support their company or not? I have always thought that their technology has enormous potential but my anxiety level has nearly got to breaking point. Unless news is forthcoming shortly, I'm out.

I just wonder whether the announcement today indicates that the funding deal has been done. Not sure that Severn trent would have agreed any deal with CPO unless they thought that their finances were in order. Wishfull thinking perhaps?

Can't keep us waiting much longer surely.

A few buyers have been appearing over the past week, I wonder if there has been a litle nod and winks being done to a few close to the company. Only one mm on the sell at 29 but he seems to happy to continue selling.

Flaming June (?) has been and gone with still no sign of the promised funding annoucement. What is going on? Surely it shouldn't take this long to get their bankers to agree to back profitable expansion!

The very least the company should have done by now is to inform shareholders of the up-to-date situation and give the reasons for this prolonged delay. 'Null points' for PR!!

Spoke with the FD and he told me that things were progressing re. the funding but that these things take time and that the announcement will be in June.

"negotiations for the financing..... progressing satisfactorily albeit slower than anticipated. Finalisation of negotiations is now anticipated in May."

I wonder if they will manage to secure the funding. If you like a gamble I guess now is a good time to buy in here.

Not sure I liked the " working capital position will continue to be tight" bit of the rns.

I think I am buying in today.

A waste disposal company has been fined a total of £55,000 after admitting illegally exporting household rubbish destined for developing countries in Asia.


Grosvenor Waste Management (GWM) Ltd, based in Crayford, Kent, admitted six breaches of the Transfrontier Shipments of Waste Regulations at Maidstone Crown Court in February.

The Environment Agency said GWM illegally exported about 1.8 million kilograms of unsorted household waste, the equivalent of 90 lorry loads, to India, China and Indonesia.

Judge Philip Statman, sitting at Maidstone Crown Court, said there was a poor structure in place at GWM Ltd at the time to ensure domestic and European regulations were complied with.

He said: "These are crimes against the environment. They strike not only at the United Kingdom and its population but at the planet as a whole."

The prosecution, which followed a two-year investigation, concerned domestic waste from London and the Home Counties shipped from GWM's site between November 2004 and May 2005.

Fifteen containers were detained at Southampton port on 29 November 2004, of which seven were destined for India and China. The court heard that paperwork wrongly stated they all contained waste paper.

Sailesh Mehta, prosecuting, said Environment Agency officers noticed a strong smell of decaying domestic and household waste, and there were flies in many of the containers.

After sentencing, the company issued a statement which said: "The Judge noted that the offences had occurred over a 'very short period of time' and that Grosvenor pleaded guilty 'at the earliest opportunity'.

"Grosvenor, realising the problem, had sought to put things right earlier rather than later.

"The prosecution accepted that there had been improvements by February 2005 less than a month after the problems experienced in January. The Judge also noted that an Environment Agency inspection in February 2006 confirmed that quality had vastly improved."

Just read the agm statement. The chairman has lent the company £100,000! That is some endoresment to say the least. He clearly is happy to risk a lot of his own money to fund the co short term until the revenues begin pouring in next year.

More great news. This could be rolled out across the rest of the navy plus other navies and ships. Very scaleable. Looks like cpo is on a real roll now.
