Hmmm - I sent my broker a mail today, since I can still see the shares in my ISA and not being able to do anything with them. They replied to me today with:"Currently the Waterman Group is now delisted from the LSE. The acquisition is not yet completed. We are still waiting for the final decision at the moment. Once completed, we'll replicate the underlying market decision.".How come some people already got their money here?

Thanks all.Hoping for some similar M&A at Driver (DRV), WYG and Aukett (AUK) all of which are different animals to Waterman but each of which I hold in varying quantities and with different conviction levels!

NK104 - do we have a date for the 140p? I looked through the offer document but failed to see anything definite.

Offer is now wholly unconditional. So awaiting 140p per share in the satchel in due course.

'Norbert Colon - Jan 2017 - Takeover possibility? A foreign (US or more likely Asian) mega cap consultant may of course see the value that I see.'

Well done! Almost prescient foresight!

Casual remark blown out of proportion. I know a stock where the CEO used to post regularly on advfn under his own name, mostly pretty upbeat, as you would imagine. Also posted all his trades as he made them. Mad as a hatter, but nobody from the various regulators ever tapped him on the shoulder...

In any case there's nothing either illegal or immoral about insiders posting here - it's only use of privileged information that's naughty, ...

True in the sense that merely possessing inside information is not illegal, nor is it illegal for insiders to post stuff that isn't inside information.

But as well as insider trading being illegal - i.e. trading on the basis of inside information one possesses - there is also an offence of unlawful disclosure. That offence consists of disclosing inside information one possesses to induce others to trade.

Posting inside information is certainly disclosing it to others, and when done on financial bulletin boards like these, seems quite likely to influence others' trading decisions. And while there may well also need to be an intention to influence others' trading decisions for the offence to be committed, "I posted the information but I didn't intend it to influence anyone" is like "I traded but I didn't pay attention to the information when I decided to do so" as a defence - neither is inherently all that believable...

So anyone in possession of insider information should be careful not to post it as well as not to make the more obvious uses of it. And by the way, note that you don't have to be an insider to be in possession of inside information - if you have a friend who works in a company, learns some inside information about it and then tells it to you, you are now in possession of that inside information and capable of committing either offence...

Yes, holders can sell above the offer price. Someone preparing to spoil CTI's party?

Difficult one, as CTI must have >30% by now?

managed to sell 14k at 140.25p this morning, so someone's keen!

P.S. Norbert's rules are good in general, but be careful not to stick to them always. Even companies you know and believe in can fail sometimes due to events outside their control e.g Brexit... This company's share price has gone nowhere for the last year and we were lucky to get such a generous takeover.

Norbert - sorry - didn't mean to give offence - I wasn't aware of your existence off-board so to speak. In any case there's nothing either illegal or immoral about insiders posting here - it's only use of privileged information that's naughty, so it seems perfectly reasonable to me that an insider might have to go offline in the event of such a major event. Anyway, good to see you back.
