Well it's all over here. Such a shame that they couldnt find a good manager to carry on as Albany. I took shares in Troy in the end and I'm sure they will do well, but I don't like seeing the older trusts like this one disappear. No investment trusts left in Liverpool then!

yep - estimated nav i use


for this - showing enav to be 304ish this morning. i do not run my money like a hedge fund so will not hedge but think a 4 to 5% kicker over the 'market' return gives me a better chance of making money...

What may I ask is "e"nav? "Estimated"?

Are you proposing to liquidate rather than roll then?

Underlying look like FTSE easy to hedge so considering options.

i have the enav at 299 hence 6% discount but once wind up costs etc probably 4% still left in it.

A merger with Troy announced today - sad end to this little vehicle after 43 years of dividend success, but at least it's a profitable exit and Troy are a good manager. Just a bit sad that this little trust will disappear after a relatively successful half a century.

Yes I do.I like High Yielding blue chips and this is a way in at a good discount.

I find the c.20% discount to NAV compelling for such a well run high yielding trust.

Another steady set of results. Looks like the dividend increase is fairly safe for this year.

Thought I would start a thread on this investment trust. A prudently run investment trust with almost four decades of consecutive annual increases in the dividend. Anyone else hold?
