Hi Glue,
Still caught up with suspended Equator CFDs and so doing virtually no trading. I have recovered fairly well on some other plays, notably Cambrian Coal taken by Western then in turn by the yanks. Also gained with Fortune. I had great hopes for ENK but they are being screwed about by the Turks over a forsetry felling license.

Would you believe that I never even got on to the broker over BRM?? My BRM holding is only worth about €1300 at this stage. I moved most of my shareholdings to Saxo bank a few years ago, when I left BRM and a few odd ones with Sharewatch as saxo wouldn't take them. I have been out of touch with Sharewatch since, tho I gather they have been taken over too - must follow up on it.

I have too little liquid funds until lately to do any trading but I am thinking of dipping my toe in again soon.

I am surviving the resession as I have a business that seems designed to thrive on adversity but it has had to keep funding my past property mistakes, which continue to gobble up any loose change I generate. I have not had to sell anything in distress, however and remain (cautiously) hopefull!!

Sorry to hear you are caught in another suspension, tho it seems to e at least at a profit....

Regards,

Tom

Tom - I assume you, like me have been excluded from EUG.My broker was unable to get EUG to agree to me having a holding.

Anyway I invested my money in RPT - 120k holding at an average of 26.75p and the shares were suspended the day after I bought my second 60k batch!

Bit going on there as there is an RTO proposed, not that I believe much that comes out of the Ukraine, but either way I am hoping for a profit.Problem is with suspension in place - no way of knowing how much they are worth. They suspended at 32p but holdings in substantial amounts have changed hands at 37.5p post susp

How are things going with yourself? Trading or suffering from the recession?

Hi Tom.Well NCB are my holder and I got a call from them this morning to let me know that they had a problem having "sold" 81340 EUG on Monday there was a problem.(I saw there trade going through).Apparently being Irish we are not entitled to transfer along with other territories.

My plan was to hold on to the remaining 175k EUG for long term

Might I add that they were well advised by myself as to my ability to trade these in Australia and indeed confirmed to me that I had 256,340 shares in EUG,and there was no problem up until now

Hi Glue,

I just hold a small amount of BRM - 64222 shares - so I have not paid much attention to this up to now. Most of my shares are with Saxo Bank, where I have a trading platform, but they wouldn't take my BRM when I transferred my holdings from Sharewatch/Sharedeal? a few years ago. I have simply left BRM and a few other small holdings with Sharewatch since then. They were taken over by ODL earlier this year and I have not yet activated my account there. I have not heard from ODL with regard to BRM as yet but I will enquire tomorrow. I have not found any difference (up to now) in being Irish/UK in terms of my AIM and FTSE holdings.

I trust all is well with you - you were quite heavily invested here as I recall. Did it work out okay for you?

Regards,

Tom

My broker just contacted me - I as an Irish holder of Brinkley am not intitled to convert into Eurogold - it only transpired when I sold 81,340 Eug on Monday from my "supposed" holding of 256,340 EUG.

Are there any other Irish holders here - I know TomGerry is Irish - any one else had problems.

latifs - dont know - cant help you I'm afraid - my BRM are held in a SIPP which means I have to set up a Foreign Dealing account alongside the SIPP to hold and trade the EUG shares when I receive them. Obviously if I sell the proceeds are then returned to the SIPP.

Dragon Mining is pleased to announce that drilling has commenced at the Kuusamo Gold Project in north-eastern Finland. This initial campaign of 1,700 metres of diamond core drilling will target the extensions of the "B" lode at the Juomasuo deposit. It represents the first phase of a 20,000 metre drilling program that will be completed over the next twelve months.

At the Juomasuo deposit a total of 298 holes have previously been drilled between 1985 and 2003 for an advance of 17,191 metres. The more recent drilling was completed by a subsidiary of Outokumpu Mining Oy, which returned a number of bonanza drill intercepts including 19.20m @ 179.52 g/t gold, 3.70m @ 426.98 g/t gold, 19.60m @ 63.70 g/t gold, 4.12m @ 265.50 g/t gold and 8.00m @ 48.85 g/t gold.

Think we over-did the Sherry, mate !

I just dont see anyone arriving in time to disrupt this now glue ... sadly.

So I now own shares in an aussie company that has shares in another aussie company that has a mine in Finland or some other such place, and I have more shares than you can shake a sheep's backside at.

God I hope we thrash the b#stards in their own back yard this time round !

Unfortunatly it was Eurogold who acquired the 7 million shares yesterday - although this time they were required to pay 1.6p for the privalege

EDIT: If EUG want anymore they will have to pay 1.7p currently for the privilege

Dont suppose we can find out who bought the 2.99million last week?

Well no sign of anything happening early doors - guess we'll have to watch closely today to see if anything materialises. Otherwise I guess I'm in for yet another Australian holding.

Funny how my holdings seem to be disappearing to Australia and Hong Kong at the moment. This will be the third in recent weeks.

The 2.99 million buy last week was not Eurogolds.Likewise I can only assume the 6.5million today is not theirs. If thats the case someone has acquired 9.5million and hopefully they are adding to an already acquired holding.

glue - how do we know that its not Eurogold buying up even more at 1.6p - I ought to say I haven't looked at th substantial shareholding RNS tonight - maybe that will give me the answer.

Shares in Brinkley are due to be suspended at 7am on Thursday 11th Novemeber.

Me thinks the 6.5million purchases today will hopefully be relating to a counter proposal. All will be revealed tomorrow at some stage when the holding rns appears
