Nothing sinister or anything to worry about, this was the plan.... See below, extract from RNS of 15th August.... Everything going according to plan.


The last day of dealings in, and registration of transfers of, Caledon Shares on AIM will be 24 August 2011 and, from 7.30 a.m. (London time) on 25 August 2011, the trading of Caledon Shares on AIM will be suspended.

Sorry for keeping you. I believe that the conditions for paying stamp duty on your POLO stock were changed by HMRC in the middle of June. This is when you appear to have stopped paying stamp duty on the trades

Caledon Resources: long awaited acquisition by GRAM approved -

A deal was initially struck with the Chinese firm last November and the transaction was finalised last month, after it received the official sign-off in the People's Republic
The long-awaited acquistion of Caledon Resources (LON:CDN) for cash by chinese firm GRAM, one of the largest state owned enterprises - was approved today.

Shareholders approved the deal in a vote today.

A deal was initially struck with the Chinese firm last November and the transaction was finalised last month, after it received the official sign-off in the People's Republic.

Caledon shareholders will receive £1.12 in cash for each share and the acquisition values the firm at around £313.1 million.

It represents a premium of about 34 per cent of the closing Caledon share price on 5 November last year (83.75 pence) - the last day of business before the offer was made - and 100 percent of the closing price of Caledon shares on 16 September 2010 - the last business day before the offer period.

The last day of dealings in Caledon shares will be on August 24, said the company

(You may have to register but it's very simple). Mark also puts up a number of other investment ideas/themes on there which are certainly worth reading.

...and while I'm on, many thanks for your optimism and support for CDN over the years. I have rarely posted but have been holding/following since 2005, and it's been a rocky, but ultimately worthwhile road.

Phillis - I can picture you looking at the chart above, sitting on your Ikea dressing table that (despite following all the assembly instuctions), still wobbles like a half baked jelly and weeping at the sad reflection cursing you from the other side of the mirror, hands clasped over your head, muttering...."You fool, you fool, you fool you bloody fool"

Rare to call a share so wrong form start to finish, imbicilic to continue after all other shareholders are cracking open the champagne! Have a good long look in that mirror Philly for therein lies the greatest fool ever seen on this BB and indeed on ADVFN. My final word to you P -errrrm........"DOH!":-)

Evolution Securities initiated coverage of Polo Resources* (POL) with a "buy" recommendation and 8.3p target price. The broker believes shares in the AIM quoted mining investment company are undervalued by around 21% based solely on the valuations of the current holdings, after allowing for a 14% holding company discount, while there is also "upside potential over and above this, given the promising unlisted investments and the cash which this experienced team will soon be able to apply to potentially value-accretive investments." Despite the praise from Evolution, Polo shares dropped 0.15p to 5.4p.
