24/12/2009 09:24 | imperial, I haven't spent enough time researching to draw a proper conclusion, but it looks cheaper than chips so far. I've started a thread for AFNR, will add some links and charts when time allows. | fordtin
24/12/2009 08:27 | no problem, but no thread!!!!! | giantpeach2
24/12/2009 08:14 | Typed in AFNR.Not worked.Anyone else have problems? | imperial3
24/12/2009 07:58 | Is anyone going to start a thread for AfNat? Fairdeal? | zangdook
23/12/2009 16:58 | So what is your conclusion then? | imperial3
23/12/2009 12:49 | This may be of interest. If I've read it correctly, Polo Resources are paying au$7,420,000 and giving Areva all of their MEY(WME) shares in exchange for 14,100,000 BKY shares. | fordtin
23/12/2009 11:12 | Morning guys, now that Lithic is joining the Extract Resources complex (via URU), I thought it would be worth taking a closer look. Only scratched the surface so far, but can I ask the regulars to check the following for errors and also let me know if I've missed out any other listed assets. TIA EDITED - just discovered ASX:WME has recently changed it's name and ticker to MARENICA ENERGY LTD (ASX:MEY) | fordtin
23/12/2009 01:36 | Agreed. I feel that's why this has been marked down, as the market doesn't know how to value this. We really do need clarification on what exactly AfNat's NAV is. | induna123
23/12/2009 00:12 | It might help if they'd clarify exactly what cash, investments and properties they now own. Given that Amber appears to have been in effect an investment company, and given that investment companies generally trade below NAV, I wonder if we paid too much for them. | zangdook
23/12/2009 00:05 | Is the market being too pessimistic,or just giving these the cold shoulder? | imperial3
22/12/2009 16:04 | very strange drop here | buystock
22/12/2009 14:27 | Put another way, this share price is valueing the Amber assets at £5.6 million on top of LMY's £2.6 million market cap today. 411 million shares at 2p = £8.2 million. | themoneymonster2
22/12/2009 14:24 | Yes weak markets but this market cap does not make any sense. When LMY announced they were taking over Amber for £9.5 million they were going to issue 285,426,846 shares to Amber representing 3.3p per share in AfNat. The share price 2 days before AfNat floats is 2p? The Amber shareholders need a near on 50% increase just to get their value back. Madness of AIM I guess. Wish I was buying mine at 2p. | themoneymonster2
22/12/2009 14:14 | weak Christmas markets? | jester jim
22/12/2009 14:07 | Just checked figures, 411 million shares in Afnat at 2p = £8.2 million. Amber takeover price was at £9.5 million. So down by £1.3 million on that alone now and LMY's assets and cash in for free. This is typical of AIM blody mm's. | themoneymonster2
22/12/2009 13:59 | What's going on here? At this price the new company will be valued at less than they took out Amber for so Lithic side of business worth nothing? | themoneymonster2
22/12/2009 08:54 | Maybe they have sold them? They did say they could do this in the interim. | themoneymonster2
22/12/2009 08:52 | No mention on the website of projects remaining from Amber, as far as I can see, but there doesn't seem to be any mention of Amber's shareholdings either. | zangdook
21/12/2009 17:23 | we could do with a bit of corporate activity to get this moving. | humbugg
21/12/2009 16:58 | 24th is when new company starts trading afnr ticker | themoneymonster2
21/12/2009 15:43 | for what its worth i dont think they'll be any movement in the share price when they start trading 23/12, unless we get a flood of buyers. | humbugg
21/12/2009 12:32 | Hardly any trades in these,for quite some time now. | imperial3
21/12/2009 12:06 | Agreed, didn't really word the response right, I think on a 3-6 month view, 5-6p. | themoneymonster2 |
