05/9/2007 13:56 | OK, I see we have a new thread already: | diogenesj
05/9/2007 13:54 | I see this is now Sport Media Group (SPMG). Any volunteers to create a new thread? Positive note from Daniel Stewart this morning: they have reduced the forecast for 2007 slightly, while increasing that for 2008. They regard their forecasts as relatively conservative, and think that a 10% increase in circulation could increase earnings by a further 12%. They point out that the prospective dividend yield is still 10%, and set a price target of 110p. | diogenesj
03/9/2007 12:51 | Funny up until now everybody was saying Sullivan's involvement was the problem. ITW just confirmed they will meet expectations which is for £5.4m profits, eps of 9.2p and divi of 7.3p. At 67p the pe is 7.2x and the yield almost 11%. That's cheap in my book and I'm buying a bit. | czar
01/9/2007 08:21 | Pick up a Sport, its changing. | czar
25/8/2007 16:06 | May be that's why they're trying to go more mainstream! And let's not forget, you won't have Sullivan's or the Gold brothers' "consultancy fees" getting taken out from now on. | paulo2
24/8/2007 17:59 | with so much free porn on the net, who is going to pay for there soft porn. | mandy711
24/8/2007 13:07 | Is the porn any good though? Anyone had a ham shank with it? That's the real test IMHO | volsung
24/8/2007 13:05 | Have the shop (still Daniel Stewart?) or anyone issued any research since the t/o? | labatie
20/8/2007 10:58 | Yes, I was clutching at straws there. Don't know why ADVFN has the ex-div flag up today, but it wouldn't go ex-div on a Monday anyway. | diogenesj
20/8/2007 10:34 | the 3p div went xd on 16 march | meadow50
20/8/2007 10:11 | Seems to be climbing back up so someone is buying ... | kebab77
20/8/2007 09:42 | Ouch, glad I only have a very few left as well. But unless I am mistaken, it has just gone ex a 3p dividend, so today's fall is not quite as bad as it looks. | diogenesj
20/8/2007 08:49 | Er exchange another name for Maxwell! | johnrxx99
20/8/2007 08:49 | Glad I sold last week | johnrxx99
20/8/2007 08:30 | Momentum Investor tip sheet has said sell comparing it to the float of Mirror Group. That looks a bit unfair as Mirror Group was down to Mr Maxwell so this looks like a cheap buying opportunity when the tipsheet subscribers are out later this morning. | czar
15/8/2007 09:52 | This now seems to be in free-fall ... | kebab77
08/8/2007 08:49 | Exactly czar...I think PIs are just happy to take their money off the table no matter what.A little bit of thought might persuade them otherwise but that is asking too much I know...:o) | nurdin
08/8/2007 08:46 | nurdin this price means the new shares are worth 62p, that's 13p below the price they just placed £65m worth - that doesn't make sense. | czar
08/8/2007 08:28 | Remeber the current holders of ITW will be entitled to a divi of 7-8p once the results to July 07 are announced.I am holding tight | nurdin
08/8/2007 07:59 | According to my Google search Andrew Fickling the new MD used to be in charge of the computer room. Hmmm... | totana
08/8/2007 07:51 | Regardless of the price of the deal, to turn that paper round is going to cost something. either in attracting key staff or reduced advertising rates to get the thing going. However, owning a slice of a high street newspaper...so this is how Murdoch feels. | silverfern
08/8/2007 07:50 | Mr S is completely out so this company should get much better City support, especially now its the City boys who own all of it. | czar
08/8/2007 07:42 | The new company will have EV value of £85m with EBITDA probably in the region of £10m this year. That is not expensive for a company with high yield and prospects of significant earnings growth if the new MD at Sports lifts circulations to its previous highs. | nurdin
08/8/2007 07:21 | If institutions have stumped up the £65m in this jittery market you can rest assured this is a very good deal. | czar |
