Illswilgig, you are lucky. Mine arrived this morning, the cheque is dated 20th Dec and posted from Eire.

I got dividends into my bank account. I thought they were doing that for the pay out as well.

Doesn’t make sense, since election is completely irrelevant to payout on agreed deal. Seems like any excuse to hang on to shareholder’s cash the bean counters can dream up. Mightily miffed.

Due to the mission critical involvement of the company in relation to election broadcasting the completion of the scheme has been deferred and cash settlement is now expected to be on 2nd January 2020.

Sold out over past 2 day's. Sitting on no return for another 2 months, uncertainty over election etc not enough to hold out for the 2p premium for it to go through. Been a good ride.

This looks curious, as you say. I would be very surprised to hear of any change to the offer at this late stage but hope to hear soon about payment for our shares.

Just showing a 'buy' at 260p.

Why would anyone buy unless the 254.15p offer is about to be renegotiated?...
... except perphaps urgently to cover a short position!

The downside from a veto is limited in view of new contracts won. Still think it’s a low-ball offer and happy to wait.

I don't expect it to proceed to Phase II and should be merely a formality. However CMA usually go to the deadline so expect clearance on 10th October, which should trigger all conditions to proceed being met (not aware of other regulatory approval required).Other recent decisions under section 96(2) include One Savings Bank and CCFS which was published last Friday and cleared ... and would say two banks within the UK are far more at risk of reducing competition through a merger than a niche technology company and a Canadian buyer.

It certainly would mean that if there were representations submitted for the CMA to consider.... and that would be just the beginning of the delay while their enquiry continued into phase 2.
One hopes that no responses will be received and that Phase 2 does not proceed.

does that mean takeover can't complete before 10th October?

I still think price is too low.

ST in IC says:

'the offer...equates to a multiple of 18 times house broker FinnCap’s earnings per share estimate of 14p for the 2019 financial year...'

A counter offer of 20-25 times is not fanciful thinking. Let's wait and see (and hope for the best).

I did see a sketchy timetable which unhelpfully said ‘during the second half of this year’. However I think it is worth hanging on because the holding is now nearly secure as cash and this bid could well trigger a better one even though directors have accepted.

Thanks. Hopefully we won't have many uphill into the wind and rain efforts ! Actually downhill into the wind and rain might be worse...
