Let's hope they're making a mint.

Hi igoe104,

Presume they've asked for your dads details again then.

True, also China have only recently started relaxing COVID restrictions. After the government announced dividend and capital gain allowance reductions - I started moving my portfolio into an ISA. I'm not sure what part this holding will play in the future.

Looks like the dividend payment didn't materialize

Thanks igoe104, will keep a look out too. If it's similar to the previous one, then the company must be churning out cash, I estimate £14M total dividend payed out previously based on shares in issue listed on the Britdaq website.

Thanks for that igoe104. Just checked my account, nothing there yet. Let's hope it's a good one again.

Definitely.Let's see in November. The way they left the market means there are probably a lot of holders, like us,in limbo. It will be good to get some sort of closure on our investment. GLA

My dad got a letter followed by a dividend payment last November. It will be interesting to see if holders will receive another payment in November.

Thanks for your reply squeakyfrank.

I received in my account the equivalent of 3.9p per share dividend sometime in Nov 2020(ex dividend JUL). Pleasantly surprised, as i considered it a write off a while back. Good luck, with your research; a few items of interest i picked up -

* Their shares whilst not listed public can be traded on Britdaq on share matching basis - with the last recorded trade in 2019 - 75K shares at 2.5p - (making the 3.9p dividend even more intriguing)

* Waverton Investment held 5.2M shares of EBT as of April 2016 in their Asia and Pacific Fund - not sure they still do but to hold them for a number of years after delisting suggests to me they may have discussed future prospects with the company(just a theory on my part).

* Their original website had not been updated for a number of years and recently became inactive. I've found a new website which seems to belong to them:

If i find anything else i will post here - in the meantime can only wait and see if there's a repeat of the dividend in 2021.

mokhan2

I have just received a consolidated tax statement from interactive investor and i too have a dividend payment from EBT Digital. I haven't found any record of money being paid into any of my accounts.....have you any sign of a payment going into your accounts. I'm about to try researching the company to see if the company has been restarted in another form

Received a random dividend from them, over a decade after delisting - must be a mistake?!

Shares will not be valueless BUT you will find it very difficult to realise any value.
Note AXI have announced a delisting and the shares have crashed. These were profitable and paying dividends.

I, for one, am very weary about investing in smaller companies after these two.

tyranosaurus,

you seem to be clued up on the situation- i have tendered my full holding- if i have any left at time of de-listing, will they be valueless?

Barclays were corect that you will receive 6p for every share tendered, but this has an upper limit of around 20%.
You can tender for more. You may get more if not everyone puts in a tender.
They would be daft not too though.

E88- Barc say I can tender shares in excess of my basic entitlement, which has yet to be determined, is this the 19.9%. Sorry to be a pain but this delisting is not something I have had to deal with before so any guidance is welcome.
TIA
