Following the Board's announcement on 17th August 2023 that the Company was applying to participate in a tender offered by Detsky Mir, the results of the tender can now be confirmed.



The Board announce that the Company's application in respect of all its shares held in Detsky Mir has been successful. Following the completion of the tender, the Company will no longer have any holdings in Detsky Mir. The proceeds (RUB 286.2m, approx. GBP2.35m) received from this tender will be held in a custody 'S' account in Moscow and will not be recognised in the Company's net asset value.



The above details will be included in the list of questions and answers (Q&A) to be updated on the Company's website shortly.

Bloomberg have published an article “GERMANY INSIGHT: How Industry Is Weathering the Gas Crisis”.

In it, they summarize the extent to which German industry appears to have weaned itself off Russian Gas.

Essentially, manufacturing production has not diminished in the face of reduced access to gas, in fact the authors posit that a large part of this is likely due to efficiency gains as well as fuel substitution.

“If these energy savings can be sustained — the sizable contribution from efficiency gains suggest they might be — Germany’s business model looks like it will also remain in a relatively strong position to operate in a world where European energy costs remain persistently higher than they were before the crisis. The one blip is likely the chemical industry, which might continue to struggle”

I bought in at 60p so quids in here. But, unlike the warmongers gleefully gloating over the dead, I want peace which would increase investment returns significantly. That's why we're on a financial board like this in the first place.

The price is wrong, no longer JRS. JEMA is up 9% today.
