Posted at 04/3/2024 19:02 by campervan1 Sorry, posted already elsewhere and kind of off topic but any ideas here?Just wondering if anyone else is having a problem with prices returned from the STOCK function in a spreadsheet. I use MAC Numbers. About 20 of my stocks are showing a price that bears just a passing resemblance to the actual price. Curiously, all of these happen to be ITs. SUPR, BBOX, BSIF, NBPE, BIPS to name but a few. Not noticed this happen before. Any ideas or is this a habitual thing that'll just pass? (I've read somewhere that the prices come from Yahoo Finance, but they seem correct.) |
Posted at 19/2/2024 10:15 by speedsgh QuotedData's brief summary of the mooted BBOX/UKCM deal can be found here - Starts from 9:19. The basic concluson is that the deal is basically designed to help BBOX fund their development pipeline through the sale of UKCM's £500m+ non-logistics assets seeing as BBOX are currently unable to raise funds through more usual methods (debt/issuing equity). QD's conclusions start from 15:05. |
Posted at 13/2/2024 11:50 by ygor705 I've been a holder of BBOX since inception and liked the early model and how management scaled the business. Having been a shareholder of what used to be Standard Life (before it rebadged itself with some ridiculous name that it is entirely forgettable) I was not encouraged when they took a larger interest in BBOX. On the face of it, scaling up the business at this point in the commercial property cycle looks sensible but I'd be happier in Abrdn weren't involved. It's no wonder that the share price is hesitant. |
Posted at 13/2/2024 10:34 by mcdougall1 One of the key reasons why I bought into BBOX is the property portfolio comprises of large modern high quality distribution warehouses, as well as the planning/ development upside for future developments that BBOX have been really good at. I don't see the rational for picking up a mixed bag of other stuff. |
Posted at 13/2/2024 09:37 by adamb1978 Just hope that BBOX dont get deal-fever and stretch their view on the purported benefits (whatever they are). If the Chair of UKCM is not in favour yet then it sounds like the price might move north. BBOX need to be prepared to walk if the terms dont seem to stack up |
Posted at 12/2/2024 15:15 by llef AdamB1987 re "then selling them doesnt create any value - it just swaps an asset for the equivalent cash amount",whilst that's true, if BBOX needs cash for financing build out or purchases, doesn't it save BBOX from funding those activities from the revolving credit facility which is charged at a margin of 120bps over SONIA? |
Posted at 12/2/2024 10:46 by speedsgh Fail to see the logic behind this proposal. Look forward to BBOX communicating that in more depth to its shareholders.UKCM provided its shareholders with an update on Friday last week. That presentation can be seen here - Q4 portfolio sector weighting by market value (Portfolio Structure at 14m38s) was: ~ Industrial 59% ~ Retail 14% ~ Offices 12% ~ Other 15% Can only assume that BBOX will be looking to sell on the non-industrial assets. |
Posted at 10/2/2024 11:16 by skyship UKCM would be bizarre; but the share price there has been surprisingly strong recently - someone been buying for sure.BBOX would of course be using its own very strong equity, trading on a mere 12.3% discount and 4.4% yield. However, likely to do a CREI and collapse sharpish on the news. Agree with Riverman, EBOX would have been a better fit; though of course a pretty major departure into Euroland. Will it instigate a sector rally; or are those left just too small to be of interest? |
Posted at 09/2/2024 22:06 by riverman77 SHED is a logical fit. Was hoping it might have been EBOX - would help lift the share price out of the doldrums. |
Posted at 10/1/2023 17:17 by scruff1 Not talking about their business connection. Its perception of fortunes. BBOX share price collapsed when Amazon first mentioned that it had overstretched itself during covid. Its done the same a couple of times since today being the latest, Kick Amazon and BBOX limps it seems |
