Subperior, I guess skipping the fried bread stops your cholesterol build up. Nice support from you in respect of Tesco which seems to have helped the share price.

Still having problems with that Capital key I see.

Charts mean nothing, just what has happened in the past.
Share Prices rarely go down in a Linear manner.

Subperior, I will impart a bit of chart wisdom here. Share prices rarely go up in a linear manner.

Telegraph Questor 'buy' tip

'These shares are a bargain buy as consumers look forward to sunnier times'

Questor share tip: Tesco’s solid market position and an improving economic
backdrop mean share price growth is ahead

Swiss Paul
It's a fair point you make.
Why haven't they bought any shares in the last few days especially as the Share Price is so low.

The share price has only been this high once before since 2014. Why are TSCO paying a broker to continue to buy back their shares at this level? Anybody care to explain please?

I am not a fan of bb's generally but in the 290's for TSCO it seems crazy.

Edit: plus comm. plus stamp duty..............

hmm, any increase in share price due to selling the bank will only be a proportion of the sale. Share price currently reflects Tesco owning the bank, when it sells it will reflect Tesco - the Bank + the payment for the bank. It does not increase the value of the company by the sale price of the bank, and arguably does not even change the value of the company, just gives it spare cash.

Share buybacks .
If these huge share buy backs are having little effect on the share price , it means the Time for share buybacks is not now.
The money will go on Share buy backs and in due course the share price will go down.
Swiss Paul has it 100 per cent correct .

Can I clarify kondrapuss please.
So if a company buy shares for cancellation at £2.40 say and the Share price , goes up to £2.60 , you make money??
If a company buys shares for cancellation at £2.60 say and they fall to £2.40 you lose money ??
I Spose you could say you just have to wait until the share price goes back to £2.60 to get your money back , but then would you have to factor in the time your money was sitting at a loss so you could factor in inflation etc to see if that had compounded your losses?
So last question Kondrapuss if a company does share buy backs and the companies profits fall after, does that compound your loses on the share buy backs ??
