Yes, I looked in briefly yesterday afternoon and wondered why the share price went up. That's still a good sized buy. And yes IB it is only 1.828B today and 1.830B tomorrow when the CEO's bonus shares are admitted.

There were also a couple of chunky sells once the share price went up that's why it came back down, Reba.

Looks like we can expect some positive press after yesterday's tweet as well as some news in the next few weeks.

"#SAV was delighted to welcome @SICNoticias
and Kathleen Araújo at our Boticas Information Centre for an interview with our CEO, Emanuel Proença.

We had the chance to discuss the important role the Project (#BLP) can play for the local community and its role in driving progress for Portugal and Europe as an essential critical raw materials project for #energytransition.

We also highlighted #SAV's dedication to responsibly developing and operating the Project, ensuring that it upholds rigorous environmental and social standards."

Didn't the same outfit film a western type movie in Boticas some years ago?

considering your comment. Why has the share price gone down then on a 4K sale this morning, and not gone up on a 2M buy.

Looking at yesterday's announcement a little disheartened to read that the court case continues even if it was wrapped up in the positive noise about work being allowed to continue. It's this bit of nonsense that has kept a lid on the share price

Results for exploration companies never a great thing but there has been a lot going on this past year.

I couldn't help but feel from the rest of the RNS that at last there's hope on the horizon (Ha! that was unintentional).

SAV seem to be making progress with local landowners
Drilling is continuing
Assay results to be announced
Resource update on NOA later this month (20 days left this month)
Work on the processing plant progressing well
The Iberian Wolf has moved on (if it was ever there)
Further work in preparation for the EIA
Work with the community
Part of Horizon GoldenRam, Exceed and LiTHOS projects
And finally a CEO who says we can expect regular news flow.

Well that's a lot of good news.

Funny how so few people follow this company. The years of IR being non-existent.

Roll on a great off take deal/partnership, that will fund the project.
Or even some money from the EU.

They said April/May that something could come through. Certainly judging by the share price looks like something is coming.

From Yesterday Savannah Resources* (SAV LN) 2.3p, Mkt Cap £42m – Infill drilling at Pinheiro return best grades seen at Barroso to dateBUY – 21.1pThe Company released drilling results from the ongoing infill programme at the Barroso Lithium Project in Portugal.Drilling intersected rich spodumene mineralisation at the Pinheiro deposit (2mt at 1.00% Li2O, ~7% of total MRE) returning highest grades to date from the project.Selected intersections included:76m @ 1.85% Li2O from 24m in 24PNRRC024 including 39m @ 2.21% Li2O from 38m and 10m @ 2.28% Li2O from 80m.46m @ 1.65% Li2O from 84m in EX7 (hydrogeological hole) including 14m @ 2.15% Li2O from 97m.85m @ 1.45% Li2O from 45m in EX9 (hydrogeological hole) including 39m @ 2.15% Li2O from 59m.Results received are from five exploration and two hydrogeological holes. Results from the sixth RC hole as well as two diamond drillholes completed for metallurgical sampling are currently outstanding.RC holes were orientated at oblique angles to the dip of the mineralisation due to access and topographical limitations.Hydrogeological holes were drilled vertically around 150m below surface confirming extension of mineralisation at depth, although, both ended in mineralisation given primary purpose of drilling was hydrogeological data collection. Two RC holes testing northern extension of the orebody missed the mineralisation suggesting that pegmatite veins are trending northwest rather than north-south as interpreted previously.Diamond drillholes were completed at a more orthogonal angles and are expected to be more representative of true widths of the mineralisation that is estimated to be 25-35m wide. Conclusion: Infill drilling at Pinheiro returned highest grades seen at the Barroso Lithium Project to date that potentially may lead to an upwards revision to resource grades as the team is aiming to convert 2.0mt 1.00% Li2O total resource (all inferred) into higher category and ultimately into reserves. In addition to infill drilling, the team is progressing hydrogeological and metallurgical drilling as FS related work continues at pace.*SP Angel acts as Nomad and Broker to Savannah Resources

Weakness in the share price was to be expected, although I didn't expect it to go this low.

Since the low lithium price was mentioned above I thought I'd share some of my weekend reading.

I thought this was a fairly balanced article about the weakness of the lithium price but after all the points made I thought the last two paragraphs give hope to lithium company investors.

“In terms of a long-term impact, our expectation is that lithium batteries will continue to dominate the EV space, with alternative batteries such as sodium ion set to be used at a much smaller scale in smaller vehicles, with typically smaller pack sizes,” Hughes said.

“Therefore, demand for lithium is still set to increase massively over the coming years.”

CVN65 on LSE, Price: 3.80pRE: Innovation17 Aug 2023 at 06:54Agree Wolster and Musicman. The real problem is that the 25% drop in the share price makes the company vulnerable to an opportunistic takeover. BOD needs to get into action.--Here we are 75 days later & we are another 21 per cent down & heading under 3p & we get this peep posting carp again! Please, bring the LSE plonker back.LolPS; FFS, where is the action/S?The share price dropped further while writing!Gl all

FLC, I wrote this in post 155:-

"Could be some short term weakness in the share price but once the news starts arriving I can see multiples of this share price "

I also mentioned in a previous post there was a gap in the chart just under 4p.

Both of these events seem to happen time after time on AIM.

The weakness always happens after such a placing and the gap has today been filled.

There is so much good news to come and this will rise of that I'm sure.

Just one little trading event to overcome. Wanobi on the Wan thread kindly produced a chart for SAV which shows the 13 day moving average go below the 49 day moving average. Apparently that is a sell signal for traders. Until the news arrives it might be as well to keep your eye on the trading charts. All imo.

Yes IB multiples of this share price and yes back to a December meet up in Manchester sounds about the right time.
