Excellent post re Kreature, you have him to a tee. He likes to present himself as innocent and clueless, when in actual fact he is quite Machiavellian. Same old attempts to ramp SEE and deramp QFI.
He is something horrid lurking on this QFI board. Time he was thrown over board.(:O) read more...|
|17 Aug 2014||radarray||Well I suppose we can thank Kreature for one thing, and that is the thread would be a lot quieter without him!
From some of the posters replies it looks as though he is trying to cause doubt once again, this time surrounding the complex issues over IP.
Do these issues worry me, not at all, I prefer to take the simplistic approach, I mean
, do any think that Maersk and AkzoNobel would tie... read more...|
|yesterday 11:53||bogg1e||All the tests thus far, including the PoCs, were performed on E class vessels. One of the purposes of the PoC was to collect engine data, in readiness for the 4000 hour LONO phase. As the data can only apply to the engines used on the E class vessels, its unlikely to be used on a different ship even if it uses the same engine as the E class. read more...|
|Thu 21:36||tigerbright||Kreature you seem a bit confused. LONO is scheduled to take place in Q1 2015 and this will also mark the first phase of commercial roll out.
"Maersk have appointed a team to manage their transition to commercial fuelling. Quadrise representatives are working jointly with them on selection and subsequent negotiation with suitable refiners for supplies to NWE bunker ports.
As previously... read more...|
|Tue 08:20||cyberbub||Jeez is the LNG thing rearing its head again?? We have put that to bed so many times...A little ferry company can do it BECAUSE they are little! Try doing it for 100,000 huge intercontinental container ships and see how far you get!LNG might take 10% of the shipping market within 10 years.. hardly a threat to us??And anyway we have out second and third huge markets (refineries and power... read more...|
|16 Aug 2014||longsight||IP is a specialist area. I did some IP work as a junior solicitor & subsequently was involved in a Co where I handled a lot of patents, know how & confidential info & licences.
Unless kreature has specialist knowledge in this area then I wd advise extreme caution in taking his views seriously.
I reviewed the IP situation at QFI following the new agmt with Akzo. I am satisfied about the... read more...|
|Tue 23:02||mattjos||This is the nub of the matter at present, as far as I am concerned:
"...Maersk and Quadrise agreed that it would be advantageous to view the LONO fuel requirements as the first phase of the commercial roll-out programme rather than the last phase of the development programme."
No matter how advantageous Quadrise might have thought this to be, Maersk would not have agreed alterations to the... read more...|
Personally I think we'll be looking at cash flow and revenue from marine by mid 2015 at the latest - so a year from now. But we should definitely have contracts in place before then with Maersk which is almost as good as money in the bank. People are concentrating a lot on Maersk as they are a big fish, but actually I think the non-marine side of the business could be the real... read more...|

|Tue 17:56||bogg1e||radar, i tend to agree. My timeline working backwards is as follows (and are all guesses!): maersk have stated Q1 for the LONOs but they first stated beginning of 2015. These are e class vessels which consume about 250 ish tonnes per day hfo and will be at sea for up to 60 days before refuelling is possible. So these ships will require 3 weeks of msar production or so to cover the voyages, but... read more...|
