With such a significant proportion of ISL income being received on overseas conversion, net profit should benefit substantially with the short/medium term heavy sterling falls against worldwide currencies.

I am not concerned about indices, just my holdings....all of which are highly geared to be unaffected on the whole by UK leaving the EU. Some change can be naturally expected, but not enough to give me sleepless nights. I haven't sold a share in over 4 years, I only buy/add.....which I continued to do on Friday.

Added benefit to ISL is results to be announced this week, already confirmed by the company to be significantly ahead, and same for next year. There is not a great deal more to say without sounding rampish, but for the educated and medium/long term holder it will prove IMHO shrewd to add/buy at these levels....and respected commentators will no doubt endorse those sentiments.

petersinthemarket

MAY,I will repeat may have triggered. Your implication is that I said 'will have triggered'.

After 3 buys and 11 sells yesterday, the share price had moved down 11p from the mid-price. That's just 11 people selling petersinthemarket. If that's all it takes, 11 sellers, then yes a bb poster can influence the market, albeit in the short term. If they weren't able to influence the market IN THE SHORT TERM (emphasised so you don't misquote me) they would cease to exist.

diku has edited his post 266 dramatically since last night. This shouldn't be allowed. Editing up to 5, maybe 10 minutes later I think is acceptable but not hours later. In fact there's no time limit to the editing of posts.

I hope no one on here has been taken in by this guy and was soft enough to sell yesterday. Enough taken in by him may have even triggered the panic and sizeable share price fall. Also watch out for the editing of his posts hours after the event (He might edit post 266 again as the story changes to cover his back). This is diabolical behaviour. ADVN needs to do something about this, quick.

I have no idea whether there is manipulation by the MMs or not. Plenty on this board think there is though. Perhaps I'm being naive. Mind you if there is manipulation and with a well known guru's (who has plenty of followers) stop loss in sight, I could see the case for a manipulation of the share price downwards, triggering the stop losses. Or is this a cynical view and what really has happened is that Robbie's followers knowing of the stop loss, got the jitters and sold in advance. This a case of being a guru working against the guru. Or maybe it's a bit of both?

One thing that's arousing suspicion in me is that the share price fell a lot on not a great deal of volume.

There could of course be support at these levels and the share price rebounds very very quickly, leaving a lot of sellers with egg on their faces. I very much doubt that the rebranding is the cause of the share price fall.

sharestobuy.

With respect, you are barking up the wrong tree with share price targets and such like unless you are just a trader looking for a turn. I suggest if you are invested here (which I am along with a number of other decent investors) then just sit tight and monitor the news flow not the share price otherwise it will drive you crazy and you will make bad decisions. Of course the prices offered by Mr Market need to be monitored to look for opportunities and / or anomalies but targets should not be a focus. I do sometime have a target in mind for some companies where I can assess a valuation and that valuation is based on robust metrics (i.e. WTM where I see 150p being realised) but that is not my focus - the operational performance is.

Just sit tight - make a cup of coffee and focus on research.

All the best

Im not qualified to give any advice guys. FWIW I will be looking for y/e March 2018 predictions and focussing on that rather than a short term 15 % drop in the share price. There is always profit taking at some point, its not nice but it has to happen to make the market. History has proven that if you find a reasonably priced company with good management then profit taking is a good buy in point for longer term investors (i.e. buy the dips). Easier said than done though. And we all get it wrong at times. Buy the Company not the share price.

Also, learn which posters are successful, some of them don't post much, and home in on their comments as part of your research. (note- I am so far in negative territory in 2016! )

Ignore anyone who posts countless times every day, chances are they are in short term and Pump and Dump.

I know of 2 very successful investors who bought ASOS at 7p, they sold for a nice profit at 15p............

Advfn only guesses the trades based on above or below the mid price. In reality unless the share price moves after a trade it is often impossible to know for sure if the trade was a buy or sell. Late trades and part filled trades (i.e. a number of them adding to the actual trade) confuses even more

Dont get hooked up on it is my advice

Are results here due on the 31st of March? I know they are supposed to be good but the share price has risen alot recently so do you feel the results are already priced into the share price?
Posted at 01/2/2016 15:58 by bozzy_s
Noticed these due to being on % risers board today. Looks a gem of a company. Share price performance has been staggering against the general market. And not without good reason - they seem to make a habit of beating forecasts and then some! The valuation at under £50m puts them in the 'potential long-term blockbuster multibagger' category (whereas an established cash-cow blue-chip company valued at £30bn isn't).

Balance sheet looks fine - some cash and no debt, even after their £7.5m acquisition of Speedtrap. Overall net tangible asset position.

I note Norbert Colon's post 36 which states the Speedtrap acquisition has substantial tax losses on the balance sheet, thus reducing ISL's overall tax bill for a while. Not sure how this works, looking at interims issued on 24/11/15, which show PBT £1.537m and tax charge of £0.289m, being 18.8%. The Group balance sheet shows retained earnings of £4.108m. Perhaps the historical losses at Speedtrap were written off at acquisition? ISL would possibly not be allowed to pay a dividend if it had net retained losses on the balance sheet?

Anyway, this is on my watch-to-buy list. Fast-growing, profitable, debt-free, forecast-smashing company on a forward P/E of 12. I like it.
