Lol - no I didn’t disappear I merely am focused on my own things and I am making money from backing myself as opposed to always trying to fight with incompetence. Havelock taught a valuable lesson, there are some terrible business people out there.

Personally I am saddened by HVE demise, but only due to the loss of some good employees.

I took, I rubbed, once the brown stuff came off it still turned out the gold sovereigns had been turned to copper ha'pennys by the blunder of HVE.

Lots of new names here since I last looked on this thread. I hope you got out at the right time. I'm glad I bailed out of this share a long time ago.
I read Styles and Wood were taken over. They went from strength to strength. It's very sad about HVE. I particularly feel sorry for the employees.

Jblocko, hope like many you are not to exposed to the crash, it never seemed an issue to HVE to send someone else off the cliff, so the statement about a surprising 'credit squeeze' surprised me as well. Looks like they've robbed people this morning of the last remedy of slapping a winding up notice on HVE by calling in the administrators.

Guess what goes around comes around, or from the old butch management culture, your on the train or your under the train!

Wonder how much cash was sitting in uncollected retention funds from the main contractors, the credit control folks always seemed to busy with their private lives to chase like the hound dogs they should have been. Pot was over half mill last time i extracted figures. Could have kept them going another day or so!

I cannot fathom why there is so much interest in HVE at this point in time, as there is little likely-hood that the share price will move northwards, until such time (if ever) they start to prove they can turn this sinking ship off the rocks.

Agreed neverforget - with AB holding the largest stake by far, all he has to do is work with a several of other larger holders, who must have similar interests at this time to crack the whip.

The timing of the appointment together with the manner it was issued suggests that AB is taking a very active roll and about to call the tune at the AGM on 20.06.18

If you look at AB`s investment at the current level of the share price it is worth only around £240k - but I seem to recall that his average would have been around 10p+ a share (over £800k).

If the business can be returned to profitability there is upside but the net debt has to be sorted out as does the pension deficit first and foremost imo.

Only the figures on 4th May will give a clearer picture of how these issues are to be overcome. Will there be a funding round to shore up the business and at what level could sufficient be raised to give the business a fighting chance of recovery?

Or will it be de-listed to reduce costs? I think AB favoured that in the past, if my memory serves me correctly..

Its a good call, announce a new board director, share price rises. Just before the yearly figures get released. Just a thought.

Miracles on its way with the share price being managed upwards - not to be missed imo.

Followed by a share price rise on the news that Hakeem Yesfu has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director. While he has and seems to hold a number of financial roles, is he a liquidation expert, as I note while a director of Amusis Limited, it entered into voluntary liquidation.

As AB is such a major holder, he could I expect benefit in the long term, if the company were to go into liquidation in a wisely managed plan, that would leave him able to buy the assets at a knock down price. Time will tell.

beaware The share price, the pension deficit, the loss of clients Post offices 3 weeks ago, the finance director walking out, the bonuses being paid, luxury cars in the carpark. Is not negativity or raking over old coals but facts. Any value in shares has long gone.
