Is this positive for EBQ?

This relates to Centaur Media but search on "Ebiquity" and look at the valuation metric tables. If the EBQ share price doubled from the 37p at the time of the publication, to 74p, it would still be valued below the average on the whole. That is where it is heading as a staging post imho, dyor etc.

One of those cases where highlighting an undervalued opportunity flags up something even more undervalued for those caring to engage brain.

Have to wait to see the EPS targets for the options.

What may not be apparent, even if the consumer doesn't recover quickly, is the opportunity in the long-tail of smaller accounts that can be accessed that may have previously been unprofitable due to human cost. That might be an uplift. Adoption of AI should be overall beneficial to EBQ in terms of increased reach and margin.

AI usage - "For external use, we will explore new client interface opportunities, productisation of first line account management, and providing greater value to the long tail of smaller clients without the cost of additional human input."

Not directly related to EBQ but interesting.

Released today, ITV Chief Executive Carolyn McCall said: "We definitely see more confidence in the advertising market."

Non-linear advertising appears to be a good area of growth vs linear.

There appears to be a healthy list of job opportunities at EBQ, not a sign of weakness.

TU this week? Hope for some positivity out of EBQ and a sign they are riding the changes to enable better shareholder returns.

The legacy mass media are going through substantial lay-offs as bias is being punished and/or ad spend shifting to new channels/media with spend having to be utilised more efficiently.

EBIQUITY Transmit might do well if all it offers are facts, figures and data on the market and no bias. Data, data, data from trillions of ad impressions can have value too. A more efficient platform being rolled out with GMP365.

The price response to the results was over done but nothing will change without a reason that I hope this TU will offer a glimpse of.

BoD equity ownership % is very poor.
They don't align well with shareholders looking for share price performance.
Forget options - they don't count, only % owned counts.
Hence share price performance is probably not a primary concern for any of the BoD.

An "owner" mentally needed at the top.

So much opportunity to exploit........

I thought a good presentation and for me both of them came over well and clear.
Financial position for their current business is very secure, although as they say may be difficult to make an acquisition work with the current6 share price and cost of debt.
No acquisitions may not be a bad thing given the very intense transformation programme they are going through.
The question of market expectations came up.Their broker is Panmure Gordon who of course are not on Research Tree. Apparently after the interims Panmure have reduced their 2023 revenue forecast from £85m to £82m and operating profit from £12.7m to £12.5m. No idea if they reduced the share price forecast. Am surprised as the small reduction in operating profit as I would expect them to have high operational gearing...too bad I did not ask about that.
No intention of selling my smallish holding but given industry conditions not rushing into buying either.

Possible outcome: If it appears to be happening the EBQ share price might respond.

The Trade Desk is supposedly considering buying Criteo. If I have understood this properly, it would benefit Ebiquity if they did. Checked, and courtesy of ChatGPT, and dependent on a few variables so NOT GUARANTEED........

"1) Access to a larger pool of data: The Trade Desk's acquisition of Criteo will combine two of the largest independent advertising technology companies, which will create a larger pool of data for analysis. This could HELP Ebiquity gain access to more comprehensive and diverse data sets, which could enhance their ability to provide more accurate and detailed marketing analytics to their clients.

2) Improved targeting capabilities: Criteo has expertise in retargeting and dynamic creative optimization, while The Trade Desk has a strong programmatic advertising platform. Combining these capabilities could result in improved targeting capabilities, which could HELP Ebiquity's clients reach their desired audiences more effectively.

3) More comprehensive ad tech solutions: The Trade Desk's acquisition of Criteo may result in a more comprehensive suite of ad tech solutions that Ebiquity could offer to their clients. This could HELP them provide a more holistic approach to their clients' advertising needs, and potentially increase the value of their services."

It's more likely a help than a hindrance to Ebiquity if The Trade Desk acquires Criteo.
